You have to understand that the US/EU has to let the Albanians do “something” otherwise they will turn on them. So on occasions this sort of stunt is carried out with great fanfare to show the masses that Kosovo is “independent”.
By next weekend all this will have been forgotten and the people living in that Serb village will be able to visit the cemetery as before without any hindrance.

My understanding is that village is on the Serbian side of administrative border with Kosovo while village's cemetery is just across that line. And that locals always used same country road to get to the cemetery and light up the candles.
This is a problem.
Are they suppose to travel far to some distant "border crossing" and then travel back from there to cemetery?
And then go home same way, for kilometres around (and bring your passport, please) while their homes are maybe just hunderd meters away.
There must be another solution for this problem. Fines are counterproductive, and don't contribute to the solution.

Another claim without any proof! You actually think there are people at this forum that takes you seriously!

Sorry Mikael C, but I will not bother with proof since it never get posted. I wrote so many coments, with names,locations,time,etc... but to no avail.

Example: I wrote the names of two serbs arrested for possesion of exsplosives and other weapons, and you did not see that coment. Ask b92 WHY?

Very good job KPS you are an good example of how police should handle crime and act towards people. We are proud of you. Keep it up!
(Demi, 24 January 2010 15:21)

Yes Demi, they are hardened criminals. They visit cemeteries the same way they have done forever. This illegal activity is on the same par as murder of Serbs in Kosovo. Oh wait, it's worse because nobody is even investigating those murders but this has to be punished.

"Family members of the arrested Serbs said that the Kosovo police treated them courteously"

Now imagine had it been MUP and Albanians crossing into Serbia illegaly,…..

Albanians who crossed borders between Macedonia and Serbia - crossed illegaly international recognized border. There is no border between central Serbia and Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija!!

So being internationally recognized as you put it, makes it ok to kill a young boy that crosses the border legally? Was this the point that you were trying to make, or did I misinterpret you.

Crossing illegaly into Kosovo! Are you kidding me! Kosovo is Serbia and the KPS are road bandits robbing poor people of their money.
This is just intimidation by albanians. Not only is it a message for Serbs to stay out but they get robbed for trying to visit their dead ones. If this is democracy and multi curlturalism then I'm Santa Claus! I wonder if the same rules are applied for albanians crossing over from Presevo?
(Mikael C, 24 January 2010 16:31)

I guess you don't have a clue how many K-Albanians have been fined by serbian courts so far for the same thing. In reality, serbia is recognizing Kosova just by doing what KP did to these illegal alliens crossing the border ilegally.

Of course Albanians will treat Serbs well. They're a great source of extra money. Why beat when you can take money over and over again? Traffic fines, unpaid bills, whatever, don't kill the cow if you can milk it :)

Now imagine had it been MUP and Albanians crossing into Serbia illegaly, boy would those poor civilians face beatings until going unconscious then facing charges and finally realised after a month or so in time for their wounds to heal. Remember couple of years ago when a young Albanian boy crossed the border from Macedonia into Serbia, the poor boy had no chance, killed in the spot. Kudos to Kosovo's border police!
