U.S. general says Yemen could become Iran-Saudi proxy war

General David Petraeus says there are indications the domestic conflict in Yemen could become a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Nobody comes close to the US when it comes to utter hypocrisy. While on one hand, the US is fond of pointng fingers at many countries for human rights abuse, it turns completely blind where Saudi Arabia is concerned because of oil and strategic location. The Saudis discriminate half of its people -- women are not allowed to vote, not allowed even to drive for Christ's sake! And they even need their male relatives' permission to marry! But I don't see any US official go ballistic about discrimination and human rights violation here!
