The truth is that the majority of the Serb population in Serbia strongly feels that it is the victim of the NATO aggression and as a direct consequence of NATO bombing it lost Kosovo. No one to this day in Serbia has ever tried to explain the rationale reasons why NATO intervened but instead the Serbian elite (academics & politicians) take the easy way out by blaming primarily Albanians, Croats, Bosnians, and Slovenes and to some degree Montenegrins for Serbia’s failures. The Serbian elite have been very successful at selling the conspiracy theory to its people because of the very simple reason its way much easier to accept a lie than to admit to the horrible truth.

There has to be talks between Serbia and Kosovo but not about status. Kosovo and its people will never again agree to be ruled by irresponsible politicians in Belgrade. The only way that Serbia can take direct control of Kosovo is to occupy it with military and police otherwise Kosovars will never submit. Despite Mr. Tadic assurances that Serbia is committed to a peaceful solution the western alliance is aware that Serbia would use its military might to take over Kosovo if politics of the region changed and the circumstances allowed it. This is not a secret to anyone. Only one country stands in the way of this accomplishment and that is USA. As for the rest of the European countries, Serbia would simply ignore them and would continue with its own genocidal plans as it has done in the past. USA however would directly intervene militarily if Serbia ever tried to attack Kosovo and that is why the politicians in Belgrade act so peacefully.

The current political generation in Belgrade is unable and unwilling to strike a compromise. It completely refuses to recognize the reality and instead it focuses all its strength in the fantasy of gaining control of Kosovo. It will never happen again for the simple reason that Kosovo is recognized by USA, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy. These states are the most powerful states in the world and they will never rescind the recognition.

It will take a new breed of politicians to strike deal. There are so many unresolved issues that come away ahead of the status but for any talks to begin Serbia first must recognize the reality and come to the table with genuine intention of solving the problems and not obstructing the process. Until that happens we will continue to deprive ourselves of true progress and reconciliation. People in Serbia, and people in Kosovo must deliver an ultimatum to its politicians sit down and solve our problems that are making our lives more difficult as we have had enough of this nonsense for the past three decades. Peace to everyone.

Jugoslavija do your remember the Albanian leader Ibrahim Rugova? He led a non-violent seccesionist movement for almost 20 years. Did the Serbs sit with him at the negotiating table? Nope, they abolished the autonomy granted in '74 and turned Kosova into a police state. The language of force is the only way you know how to negotiate and we have learned that lesson over the years so we are now gearing up for the next round of "negotiations" with Serbia and have chosen hardliners like UCK to do the negotiating this round as opposed to the non--violent methods of the late Rugova.

I am Italian but even if my governmetn recognize kosovo as a country I cannot agree with it at least because that kind of decision goes against the international laws. I am Italian but even if my governmetn recognize kosovo as a country I cannot agree with it at least because that kind of decision goes against the international laws. Serbia`s territorial integrity must be mantained and so I think that many of the countries which recognized kosovo must review their choose. You also forget that Russia and China (this last country is the real most powerfull one in the world... It own quite the whole U.S. debit...) got the power of VETO and believe me my fool friend... Jugoslavija do your remember the Albanian leader Ibrahim Rugova? He led a non-violent seccesionist movement for almost 20 years. Did the Serbs sit with him at the negotiating table? Nope, they abolished the autonomy granted in '74 and turned Kosova into a police state. The language of force is the only way you know how to negotiate and we have learned that lesson over the years so we are now gearing up for the next round of "negotiations" with Serbia and have chosen hardliners like UCK to do the negotiating this round as opposed to the non--violent methods of the late Rugova.

China nor Russia are stronger than US, and they will not be for quite some time (at least 100 years). Serbia will have no choice but trade its informal recognition of Kosovo to enter EU then Russia will not be a barrier. China always abstains when voting, so...

As far as China holding US debt has nothing to do with Kosovo. US uses "other people's money" concept as thus their prosperity.
