(Peggy, 20 January 2010 21:09)

Is there a FIFA event veing held in Canada that I'm not aware of?

As for Kosova's athletes they already participate in all sporting events under their rightful country and flag that of Albania. It's just a matter of time before their land in Kosova adjoins its long lost mother. By Serbia not recognizing Kosova's UDI you're making our dream become a reality sooner than we thought.

Good luck to Serbia in the FIFA 2010 Winter games in Vancouver.

you are a dissident? lmao. you are an american who fully supports his country be it on the issue of kosovo or israel. you also happen to dislike russia and countries that your country considers an enemy. nor is an albanian who is totally in agreement with the dominant opinion among albanians a dissident. with your opinion you'd be a dissident if you were serbian. but then you wouldn't be posting so much crap about serbia then.

you are not a dissident, roberto, nor are any of the people whose comments you approve of. you are a conformist. i will tell you a joke i heard from an old guy. stalin and truman meet and truman explains to stalin what freedom of speech means. he says "you see, in washington everyone can come in front of the white house and shout down with truman". stalin replies "well, it's the same in moscow, everyone can come in front of the kremlin and shout down with truman". geddit? now keep going in front of the kremlin and shout "down with truman" and congratulate yourself on your courage.

Apparently you misunderstood the comment.
IN response to MikeC comment, if Kosovo cannot do those things now, how would rejoining Serbia improve the situation?
=================

Well, if that's the case and the question was would Kosovo be allowed to compete the answer is YES. Under the Serbian flag of course as Kosovo is part of Serbia.

Being represented in the UN the answer is YES again but as Serbia not Kosovo.

These were the two direct questions and I have given the direct answers.
As Kosovo on it's own the previous answer stands.

# I see that the right-wing Serbian defaming campaign here is on the roll again. You clearly don't see anything else but this insane Kosovo policy of the Serbian government, clearly excluding the fact that other topics in Serbia are much more important. Vojvodina and the strikes have been already mentioned here, and no Albanian is involved that.

But I understand that the radical Serb diaspora (which actually posts here almost always in English names) is not interested in that serious concerns. Nobody will get a penny for "Kosovo is Serbia" slogan, nobody will get food with that nonsense. However, the Serbian diaspora here is only interested in that, why?
(John, 20 January 2010 13:49)

thank you, john, for your excellent observations.

i almost let it go with a "recomm." until i saw how you were attacked, per usual, by the usual suspects. this is such a pattern here, and it is part of a campaign -- conscious and systematic, or not -- to attempt to silence us, the dissidents, the pro-democracy/pro independence people, however you wish to frame it.

already they have marginalized the serbian intellectual dissidents here, and some of us are so often "edited" and you know EXactly why.

UNMIK to leave ? the international organizations to leave ? you never managed to develop Kosovo, neither the Serbs nor the Albanians and I am not even mentioning the Turks and the Nazis and Fascists occupiers ...

You want the money but not the people to tell you what you are not capable of doing ... the young Europeans let me laugh ... the poorest country in Europe, our Haitï, 70% of unemployment in Mitrovica, 50% in Kosovo, corruption, organized crime, no production, no economy nothing at all,

you have to thank your diaspora who has to thank Switzerland and Germany to allow them to work and send you some Euros and Swiss Francs to survive,

You have to thank and praise the international community for its commitment to develop Kosovo and invest time, human and money resources ...

you are nothing without the international community, Kosovo is a black hole, is a shame, your heroin kills young men in europe.

of course the UN is not perfect but without it and without NATO and European money you would be NOTHING, a bunch of farmers bending down in front of the Serbs

so please, your future is Europeans and International experts to tell you what you have to do because you cannot do it yourself, in thousands of years you never manage to do anything with Kosovo ...

We in the diaspora are not your business. We don't have to tell you why we are interested in anything. Perhaps you can direct the same question to your Albanian relatives as it is more of your business.

A question back for you. Why do Albanians come out in force here in a Serbia site when they have their own news sites to satisfy their need to share the same educated opinions without challenge? Why are they the first to comment on almost any topic? Why do these Albanians in diaspora do this?

It also doesn't concern you why we use the names we do. Ever stopped to think that many migrants in diaspora have chosen to give their children English names because it is just that much easier for them or perhaps that is how they are known theselves and are comfortable with those names? Are you trying to imply that there is something sinister about that?

John,

Kosovo is close to the heart of all the Serbs I know. It is a massive issue. And these people are not all crazy right-wing nationalists and if you want to paint them all like that then it says more about you. They didn't commit crimes and they didn't force K-Albanians from their homes and they would not have supported that had they known. They do however think that Kosovo is part of Serbia. What is right-wing in that? And they do know the other side of the story leading to the atrocities committed by the Milosevic regime.

The Kosovo issue will not go away. It is indisputably the single biggest issue affecting Serbia. Is that not reason enough for it to be so important to people? Strikes will come and go and Vojvodina is not an insurmountable issue. However, in the absence of compromise or agreement, the Kosovo issue will still be here in 20 years - unresolved.

Will Kosovo also attend this UN meeting? Oh, that's right! Kosovo is not a UN member, nor will it ever be. At least Kosovo can participate with their "great" athletes all over the world. Oh, that's right they can't do that either. Oh well, at least they have a job in flurishing Kosovo. Ehh, maybe not.

If Kosovo were a true province of Serbia would they be allowed to speak at the UN, would their athletes be able to compete in any international competitions.

MikeC I dont need an UN seat or athlets. As long as Kosovo is independent from Serbia I dont even need food on the table. I dont need nothing else.

And Kosovo delegation is allowed to attend the UN meeting. Would they do that if Kosovo was some province ?No!

Is anyone asking Serbia about this or respect Serbias view ? No nobody cares about Serbia!

I see that the right-wing Serbian defaiming campaign here is on the roll again. You clearly don't see anything else but this insane Kosovo policy of the Serbian government, clearly excluding the fact that other topics in Serbia are much more important. Vojvodina and the strikes have been already mentioned here, and no Albanian is involved that.

But I understand that the radical Serb diaspore (which actually posts here almost always in English names) is not interested in that serious concerns. Nobody will get a penny for "Kosovo is Serbia" slogan, nobody will get food with that nonsense. However, the Serbian diaspora here is only interested in that, why?

The current occupiers of Kosovo are inviting themselves to meetings all over the world, even if no one really want's them there. The recognitions Kosovo have so far are due to pressure from america and some european states. In other words, Kosovo is currently the ugly kid that no one really wan't to play with but your powerful daddy is paying others to be your "friends".

thank you, john, for your excellent observations.

i almost let it go with a "recomm." until i saw how you were attacked, per usual, by the usual suspects. this is such a pattern here, and it is part of a campaign -- conscious and systematic, or not -- to attempt to silence us, the dissidents, the pro-democracy/pro independence people, however you wish to frame it.

already they have marginalized the serbian intellectual dissidents here, and some of us are so often "edited" and you know EXactly why.

so please continue to contribute and don't let them intimidate you! it is a fight for our (spiritual) lives...

thank you.

If you have nothing interesting to say, try to stop wasting time on silly things.

You may not need a UN seat yourself but obviously your government in Pristina needs it desperately enough to keep sending people to lobby the UN.

As for your lack of need for food, well, lets get honest. It isn't as if "Kosova" is a land flowing with milk and honey is it? Cut off Western aid tomorrow and what willl happen? And don't assume that the day will never come!

Anyone can visit the UN on a regular basis. The Taiwanese do it all the time and so do the Palestinians. You don't find China or Israel kicking up a fuss, and so why should Serbia as long as Kosovo remains deprived of UN membership.

The UN cares enough about Serbia to admit her as a member. As for "Kosova", well ..... at least you can continue come for a visit. So cheer up!

International

You have to thank and praise the international community for its commitment to develop Kosovo and invest time, human and money resources ...

you are nothing without the international community, Kosovo is a black hole, is a shame, your heroin kills young men in europe.

of course the UN is not perfect but without it and without NATO and European money you would be NOTHING, a bunch of farmers bending down in front of the Serbs

so please, your future is Europeans and International experts to tell you what you have to do because you cannot do it yourself, in thousands of years you never manage to do anything with Kosovo ...

sorry it is rude, sad and bad but it is the terrible truth

Apparently you misunderstood the comment.
IN response to MikeC comment, if Kosovo cannot do those things now, how would rejoining Serbia improve the situation?
=================
