Until you took their faith and started fighting us to gain their favor. Shame.
(Nemanja, Connecticut, 19 January 2010 23:16)

Well we had to survive and preserve ourselves. We were not slavic, and did not have Russia to back us up. Albanians were not orthodox and the only supporter we had, Vatican, was cut off by the sea.

Turks were the best alternative. Although we never trusted them, we did try to use them to survive. Our language, customs and tradition was not lost, although weakend. Albania still remains a place of 1,200 churches and only 360 mosques. Islam is not only ignored but actually seen with demise.

If you ask us Serbs represented the greatest danger to our statehood and existence than the Turks. Maybe this is not correct, maybe, but the last century proved this logic to be true. Serb attrocities towards Albanians and Serb expansionist ideals are well documented.

Serbs, Croats, Greeks, Albanians, Hugarians, Bosnians, Bulgarians, Slovenes and Romanians all fought the Turks and lost. perhaps if they fought as one Dinaric force they would have won and there would never have been an ottoman Empire.
It is do easy to divide and Conquer this region.

These clowns (Arab League Nations) are living in the la-la land, thinking that Tito, Nasser, Nehru, Yugoslavia, and the "Non-Aligned" movement is still alive.

Indeed it was an interesting concept during the post WWII polarized world (until Yugoslavia was kicked out in 1992). Maybe they are desperate for new members and want Serbia in?

Arabs are still mad that albanians sold them organs of dead serbians and christians-so no chance in hell they will recognize someone who lied to them.
(lids, 19 January 2010 14:59)

I wonder if an analog coment on Serbs will ever break through here??? Pathetic

My family's roots in Kosova predate the 14th century
(adrian kola, 19 January 2010 18:38)

That's pretty impressive.

Where was your clan in the 14th century Nemanja? Probably closer to Kiev than Kosova.

You are twisting my words comepletely... again! I don't care whether Serbia recognizes Kosova or not. I don't care what Belgrade does, because I do NOT live in Serbia.

To Nemanja:

My family's roots in Kosova predate the 14th century, if you really must know. And although I haven't been to Albania yet... I would vote YES in an Ethnic Albania referendum, and then yes I would live in Albania and I wouldn't need to move!

It is discriminating yo call Kosovo gov't an Kosovo Albanian govt, by any standard. In addition to implying "albanian only Kosovo" you disregarding any other minorities not just participating in govt but living there too.
Just imagine for a moment calling Vojvodina Madzyar govt or CG Montenegrin govt eventhough other minorities participate on the same govts.

Nemanja, Connecticut

Adrian,

Your country is independent of Belgrade. . .it's called Albania.

Please return to it if you so choose to "be far away from Serbia."

You are not up to date! Satan already recognized Kosovo. Interesting that the only recognition that counts is Serbias. Without that Kosovo will never be anything else than Serbia southern province.

'Camp Bondsteel could be used to attack Arab nations in future. Is that something they want to support?
(Zoran, 19 January 2010 14:19) '

The Bezmer Air Base in Bulgaria would be much more likely to be used. It's planned to become a major strategic airfield, and 3rd-country missions, under the agreement, don't required specific Bulgarian approval. Bulgaria and Romania also host logistics and other types of bases. Why should anyone worry particularly about Bondsteel?

You are right Ian, but I personally don't care to much for these towel heads except Kosova needs them as numbers to add it on its nutch.

Curious how the Albanians never fail to remind us how secular they are, yet are desperate for recognition from their 'muslim brothers.'Arab states know what the US is up to in the Balkans, and won't be fooled by their Albanian stooges.

Interesting how Tadic can use Decan monastery to rally Vatican and Spain and Jeremic can declare that Kosova is Serbia's "Jerusalem" but us Albanians should not even talk about religion. Convenient isn't it.

The vast majority of Arab League member states are fully aware that the establishment of an independent 'Kosova,'is first and foremost an American creation. This has nothing to do with religious solidarity. Curious how the Albanians never fail to remind us how secular they are, yet are desperate for recognition from their 'muslim brothers.'Arab states know what the US is up to in the Balkans, and won't be fooled by their Albanian stooges.
