What a load of 'Cod's-Wallop'!
Police and politicians are only interested in what they can get for themselves without any real commitment! Both do not care about the citizens, only themselves. They are much worse than the Russian Mafia!

"I'm assuming it was around 1, 2 or 3 a.m. which shows his parents didn't even set a reasonable curfew for him,"

Do you know this for a fact? Maybe they had, and he was breaking it. Maybe his parents had forbidden him to go near the place altogether. Did you do everything you were told to do as a teenager, Ida? Using somebody else's tragedy to foster your own sense of moral superiority can, at best, be described as meanspirited. Shame on you.

"Meanwhile, the parents of the victim said they would press criminal charges against local police"

Maybe the parents should have had their son come home at a reasonable hour rather than be out all night at or around a nightclub. They mention him being killed early Saturday, so I'm assuming it was around 1, 2 or 3 a.m. which shows his parents didn't even set a reasonable curfew for him, a minor, or seem to worry about him staying out all night.
