Given the dire circumstances of the Serbian monks and clergy, both the Albanian Orthodox and Catholic churches must condemn these actions at all costs to all institutions in Kosovo.
(Jugoslavija, 18 January 2010 21:04)

Firstly I don't think there are any Orthodox Albanians in Kosovo. In ALbania yes but in Kosovo no. Secondly the Catholic church in Kosovo are way too afraid to to condemn such acts in fear that similar happens to them by their co-nationals of a different faith.

Of course, cemeteries in Serbia are never attacked. By rowdy kids, the mentally defective, ... For example.
(Amer, 17 January 2010 17:24)

Another apologist for Albanian fascism. What is your problem? You cant even bring yourself around to condemn this dispicable act due to your incessant and irrational hatred for all Serbs.

and you want Serbs to live in your 'multiethnic' 'Kosova'.

Can't the dead be left in peace, is that not too much to ask.
(Janez-Beograd, 18 January 2010 10:44)

Janez,

I am an Albanian and I really feel sorry for that. I find it hard to reasonably believe that this was done by Albanians because there is not any political of moral benefaction for us. As humans, believe or not, we have a respect for dead and cemeteries as well. However, I do not pretend that all Albanians are angels. Why you are such confident that this was done by Albanians? Is this just an act due to your incessant and irrational hatred for all Albanians ...you see I just reversed your thought, something we both sides love to think for each other. I find it hard to have a good talk with Serbs because all you want is Kosovo without Albanians. You would rather love a lie that says this was done by Albanians than a truth in which Albanians are not involved in vandalism.

Anyone who says the Serbs did this is a complete moron. When cemeteries in Decani (where all Serbs have been ethnically cleansed) are attacked, these same idiots here blame Serbs for the crime. Impossible.

Go see the Albanian cemetery in N. Mitro... untouched and in perfect shape. Go to the south side where no Serbs live and see the desecrated cemetery.

So much for the arguments of Team Albania.

To all the Albanian posters here who claim that there is no proof of who did this so it cannot be blamed on them I say, there will not be any proof because KPS is not interested in find any evidence which points in that direction.

So you can continue to vandalise our cemtaries there until there is no more left because KPS is in your corner and you know it.

Not one of your has aver condemned KPS for their failure to find the guilty. I wonder why that is. This is a shame on them as much as it is on you.
We are not fools so stop treating us like we are. It's obvious who is doing it and why and it's also painfully obvious that nobody there is interested in persuing the guilty.

This kind of behaviour predated Milosevic and forced many good and innocent people of Serbian ancestory to leave - the term 'ethnic cleansing' was used first in describing the policy of Albanians in Kosovo to evict Serbs. Life was made unbearable for Serbs - the Albanians would not do business with them, threatened them, damaged their family graves, and also attacked any other Albanian who wanted to maintain good relations with their Serbian neighbours.

In Serbia proper, and throughout Yugoslavia, a special tax was paid to help Kosovo - under the label of brotherhood and unity - paid mainly to help the poor Albanian community. Despite the poverty in Kosovo, people from the failed communist state of Albania moved over the border to Serbia because of the better prospects. Tito encouraged the ethnic balance to change away from Serbs - and therefore made the governing of that province the kind of issue it is now.

Why reward this racism with a UDI? I don't support what Milosevic did, but neither do I support the UDI. Milosevic may have been wrong in his policies, but he did have something to react against that was just as wrong. The status quo should have been maintained despite Milosevic's policy. The land is Serbia's. The future policy should be autonomy - with good racial relations.

Those who pretend that Kosovo is a multicultural society are liars. And those who support the UDI are thieves. The UDI is an attempt at a second Albanian state - on someone else's land. Those who damage graves show the current situation for what it has always been - bigotry against Serbs.

There is no mentions in the article who did it and yet serb camp can't wait to blame K-Albanians,I think the posters here should be working as in CSI agents instead wasting their time here.
Anyway,I won't speculate who did or not but I'll just hope these people will be caught for this lowlife crime they commited,I think nobody should mess with the dead let it be K-Albanian or Serb.

Dear readers, there are plenty os people up north that are prooven to be only trouble makers. As Tadic already said and the Serb parlament already confirmed lots of money gets syphoned there to individuals. Some with "red stones", others with "300K" a couple of "votes for money" and just another from many of this great sitehttp://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2007&mm=11&dd=17&nav_id=45470

Cheers, i hope Kosovo gets fortified like London full od cameras. Than we could have a new view, like Galileo the telescope rimes.

i truly believe that whoever does this is an imbacile to this world. justice!

They talk of a free and democratic country, but even the dead are disturbed. these are people who have passed, people who will be missed by others, peoples fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, friends, ...but whats the point of preaching? my comment is only going to be marked as negative. shows you the true face of the albanian commentors on this site.

What would they say if one of theres were to be vanadalised?

NATO bombed the wrong people. And america and the rest of the western world supports this.

What can you say? This is not the first or the last time, I dont know if there is another place on Earth where people act like this. The sheer numbers of cemetries which have been desecrated is obscene. Not to mention churches. Imagine what would happen to Serbs if their did not live in guarded enclaves?
I dont recall a single case of Albanian graves being destroyed or holy buildings?
I think these things have a way of coming back round though and pray for peace and patience for the Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija.

K-USA,
There are many times you have written comments here that made me feel embarrassed and sorry for you. Now, instead of condemning this sick crime, you make excuses for it. You look as bad as the thugs who are guilty of this.
Shame on you.

Can you take a deep breath and think for a moment. Why this incident did not happened 2-3 months ago, but now? January 22 is UNSC meeting, so something has to happen so that Jeremic will have something to talk about. All I can say is that; Serb MUP at it again trying to put the blame on K-Albanians.Is not going to work out as planed, beleive me.

If this was planned by Serbs then why has it happened numerous times before ?On what important day did that happen?I suppose we burnt our centuries old churches as well?I believe you can still see on youtube how much albanans respect CHRISTIAN churches.God bless Kosmet.

Why don't you take a deep breath! Is this the first time an orthodox cemetary has been vandalized? No! So all other times cemetareis belonging to Serbs were vandalized it was close to "some important date".

RE: The Unpardonable Sin

Both Serbian and Albanian Christians must agree that this is indeed the unpardonable sin. It's safe to say that it was probably done by misled Albanian youth and they are truly destroying their earthly and spriitual lives with such actions.

Given the dire circumstances of the Serbian monks and clergy, both the Albanian Orthodox and Catholic churches must condemn these actions at all costs to all institutions in Kosovo.

Firstly I don't think there are any Orthodox Albanians in Kosovo. In ALbania yes but in Kosovo no. Secondly the Catholic church in Kosovo are way too afraid to to condemn such acts in fear that similar happens to them by their co-nationals of a different faith.
