Amer and johny:

Albanian alphabet has 36 letters where "ç" is 18 positions far from "q" and that is for purpose:

they are 2 different letter with 2 different pronunciation.

While with pronunciation there are no problems, with writing many of you Kosovars have great difficulties.

Since no one expects from you to invent anything PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE:

just COPY and PAST "ç" as it is written

at least for the Tha"ç"i's name.

Amer,"ç" and "q" are two different letters and two different sounds. However many people in Kosova and in somewhat in Albania have a hard time distinguishing the two. That is not to say however that everyone in Kosova has a hard time distinguishing the letters. I personally don't know anyone who has a hard time. I see the confusion in writing a lot more than in talking. Anyways, there is no difference in how letters are said when it comes to the Albanian. Meaning a letter sounds the same way you write it in all Albanian dialects. Obviously there are no difference regarding the alphabet in Albanian no matter the dialect. The differences in dialects come in the forms of synonyms for specific words, adding or ommission of letters at the end of certain words, and how nasal some words sound.

They have to accept because Kosovo is already independent.

"2) BTW: in Albanian "ç" and "q" are not the same. Like "cs" and "ty" in Hungarian, "č" and "ć" in Serbo-Croatian (latinica). Corresponds to "ч" and "ть" in Russian.

Hence - truth is truth - "Thaçi", but not "Thaqi".
(Ataman, 17 January 2010 15:30) "

The Kosovar version of Albanian is not identical to that of Albania. (The southern-based Communist government in Albania decreed that their dialect, Tosk, would form the basis of "the" standard Albanian language. Most Albanians in Kosovo, which like northern Albania, speak Gheg, went along with this for practical/patriotic reasons.)

In Kosovo, the pronunciation of the letters ç and q is the same. There was and may be again a Kosovar Albanian literary language, which I think some people are starting to use again.

Who out there has a better handle on this?

Demi - come to Zvečan Railstation. Here You can see SERBIAN trains. If You will pay for energy - You will pay to EPS, on the roads of Zvečan, Leposavić or Mitrovica You will see serbian licence plates, on the Zvečan Castle - serbian flag. Here is any "independent Kosovo" in North - here is Serbia.

And in Priština - who have real power?? Mr Tahci?? Or mayby mr Sedju?? No - real power have EULEX or UNMIK. This is not "independence" - this is classic protectorate.

Thaqi is an idiot or worst yet a corrupt idiot that is making Kosova into a new Bosnia. If I could, I'd feed him to the Serbs tomorrow.

The Serbs (and all others!) should NEVER (!) accept illegal Kosovo independence!

Never!

I can't help but laugh at their strategy for fixing up albanian outhouses throughout the region. Wow...8 million! Looks like it must have been a bad year in drug smuggling and human trafficking.

Now that's a partner the West truly needs.

Serbian Kosovo Ministry State Secretary Oliver Ivanović stated earlier that Feith’s statements regarding the integration of northern Kosovo into the Kosovo institutions are dangerous, and that they are only feeding the hopes of radical Albanians.

Come on Oli, you are making me sound like a broken CD whenever you make a statemant.
Till yesterday you were in same bed with Thaqi and Haradinaj+member of Kosova parlament, and now all this. I remeber you taking the floor and speaking perfect Albanian, and I got to admire you for that.Since you switched sides to highest bider, you are talking in Serbian, which I don't blame you for using your mother tongue. But, please stop playing games for the sake of your compatriots in Kosova.
