you are Serbian with Albanian heritage.
Aleks, if this becomes a reality, not only a proposition, the Serbian character of the country would be placed under a grave danger. Long before that there will be demands for giving Albanian the status of an official language. The presence of representatives of the K. Albanians in the parliament in Belgrade would make the country ungovernamble. Divorce and post "marriage" co-operation between the serbs and Kosvars is the best solution.

To all the Native Albanians here; You must understand that many nations around the world do not accept your movement/judgement/declaration, you are seen as citizens of Serbia, whether in the province of Kosovo or just north of it. While you live in Kosovo, in my books and many... you are Serbian with Albanian heritage. I begin to see other posters referring to you as Serbo-albanian, which is what you truly are. The sooner you excpet this the better the situaion will be, b/c at this moment the province of Kosovo has been stripped of everything and only together can we retain it back. :)

While most of your comment can be attributed to bruised nationalist spirit, I am curious to where you arrived at #5.
The UNSG is elected by the general assembly after nomination from the UNSC, which is subject to veto from any of the permanent members. So no one even China will be appointing anyone.
If Ban were a US puppet then I do not think he would be taking a status neutral approach to his actions.
Ban was appointed mainly due to China's insistence that the UNSG be Asian. Due to practice but not legally bound the next UNSG if Ban is not reappointed, will come from a different continent and not from any of the 5 permanent member states.
Anyone with obvious bias toward any segment of the 5 would be vetoed by one or more of the others.

(robby, 17 January 2010 17:36)

Perhaps I don't know about the inter organisations but I am perfectly able to reading their reports.

And the reports of UN SG regarding Kosova are perfectly clear and consistent in time: Albanians in north are endangered by Serbs. Serbs in the rest of Kosova are not in danger from Albanians.

Like it or not this is a fact that is repeated in ALL I repeat ALL UN SG report to UN SC.

And it is their official reports that matter???

Or perhaps the statements of Bogdanovic as 3 days ago are more important and reliable than the UN SG reports???

1. That will never happen again I can assure you about that fact. Your so called Albanian Police will make sure.
2. Another sink hole recognizing another
3. Montenergro; what does that do for a living; Oh! Yes, it waits for handouts from the EU, like Kosovo and Croatia
4. If the Croatian President finds Kosovo more important then so be it, but there will be no trading with Serbia; maybe the Albanians might have something to trade…I can’t think of anything at the moment but as soon as I find out I get back to you – it could take about 10 years though.
5. Ban Ki Moon is a US puppet. The next UN Secretary General will not be because China will make that appointment.
Albanians in Kosovo enjoy nothing now and in the future. This is the US trying to giving you hope where there is NONE so that you don’t turn on them. Boys they will string you along for years and years.

MB,

As an Irish you are generally against everything American and British. I understand it, you have those historic reasons for it.
But for God's sake can you put your polemics aside for a moment and recognize that the US is providing the most aid and support to those surviving, suffering people?
Nobody would have stopped the Irish to take this leading role you resent so much.
For the victimes, who need urgent help the main thing is not the nationality of the help provider but WHO IS PROVIDING IT FASTER.
I am shocked and sad to see that for you talk, talk in the General Assembly would come before real action and help.

I see the US has taken control of the airport there and directing the whole show. (Hypocrites)
It's time for the World's nations to convene an extraordinary general meeting to re-establish a new UN which must be free from bullying and interference and capable of rapid reaction to World disasters.

No they did not. This is an old US trick; 40% of what??? Of 10 or 20 people???? In fact the people that did “vote” were forced to do so, in a threatening, but democratic atmosphere. There are even stories coming out that some of the so called Serbs that voted were actually Albanian officials.
If it has not managed to sink in then here it is – Kosovo will remain one of the biggest and longest stagnant holes in Europe with no jobs, no investment, no prospect and no future.
Now you guys can talk all you like about “independence” but have a good look at the Palestinians. They have 130 countries recognize them but nothing has changed. Look long and hard at what you have now then take it 10 years down the road and see that even then no change for people living there.

Lets recap the week.
1. Minister is ushered out of Kosovo.
2. A new recognition for Kosovo.
3. Montenegro established diplomatic relations with Kosovo ignoring the threats from Serbia.
4. New President of Croatia says he would like for Tadic to come for innaugaration but that they have to treat Kosovo like every other country, meaning he will not place more importance on Serbian president vs Kosovo president.
5. UNSG says in report Serbia and Kosovo should work on regional cooperation and not status which exactly what the Kosovo govt has proposed all along but Serbia refuses to discuss anything but status.
Have I forgotten anything, not a banner week for someone.

Sure Kosovo and Serbia have to cooperate

But what is with the fact that Serbia is not willing to cooperate with a "false and not existing" country for them?!

Serbia is blocking every cooperation with Kosovo and it is still trying with the parallel structures in Kosovo to destabilize the region. It is utopian that Serbia would change his policy in front of Kosovo for the next 10 - 20 years. Serbia in the last 10 years did everthing to worse the situation in Kosovo to show the world how bad the Albanians in Kosovo supposedly are. they failed with this policy. Now the policy is getting much worser, when you hear Tadic and Jeremic or their spokesman in Kosovo Ivanovic. They are not doing to accept any kind of cooperation.

But Belgrade shouldn't forget the fact that in the last municipal elections in Kosovo nearly 40% of the Serbs participate on that.

A good fact is that the Serbs in Kosovo are accepting the new reality and their number is growing day after day. How will Belgrade managing that, in his policy of confrontation and destabilization ?!

This is disgraceful stuff coming from a supposed UN Secretary General.
Mr. Ki-Moon is not living in the real World at all.

He mentions nothing about the territorial integrity or sovereignty of Serbia not being respected.
More specifically, he has never referred to the fabricated, farcical event in Racak which was supposed to have been the reason for NATO's invasion of Serbia.(The dogs in the street now know what happened in Racak)
Why is it that he never refers to the ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Kosovo Polje in central KiM by British troops in 1999?

What about the dastardly acts committed by German troops in Prizren in 1999/2000 where the German army plastered yellow crosses on the doors of Serb houses so that it would be easier for Albanian thugs to attack Serbian families and their property. (Frightening behaviour I must say and I have the photos to prove it).

There is no need for Serbia, even with the current western client regime to "cooperate" with US installed terrorists and organ harvesters.

(Mike, 16 January 2010 17:18)

All Pristina is saying is good neiboroughly relationship, and this is exactly what Ban and the majority of the civilized world is saying.

"Serbia needs to stop the Kosovo blockade, all our goods are being blocked from going through Serbia or Bosnia. This needs to end ASAP." (KOSOVARi)

-- How about this for a deal: you let Bogdanovic through your checkpoints and Serbia will let your recycled scrap metal through theirs. Sound good? Knowing its their politics vs. your economy, I think you guys will make out better.

MB,

How can it happen that nobody knows about those alleged actions of British and German troops 10 years later except you? Noadays in the age of immediate spreading of any news how is such withholding possible?

I bet CIA is still doing well flying heroine opium and resistance fighters from Afghanistan to Bondsteel, though..

I did not know that Camp Bondsteel had an air strip.

“Inter-ethnic incidents are still occurring in northern (Kosovska) Mitrovica, which is a reason for concern,” the UN Secretary General said.

ONE MORE report where UN SG Ban Ki-Moon is repeating what we all know:

Albanians in north are endangered by the Serbian ultra-nationalist-hooligans.

Not as single word about the "endangered" K-Serbs. Your lies have no access anymore in UN or any other international organization. The time of your lies is GONE.

And yet just 2 days ago Bogdanovic was still trying with the same old lies... pathetic.

Liberty:

The 'civilized world' does not condone the illegal annexation of 15% of territory of a sovereign nation.

Look again, far more countries are against the UDI by Kosovo than in favour.

And don´t speak for international organisations, please. They don´t take position for one or another side.

(Luis, 16 January 2010 23:38)

"All Pristina is saying is good neiboroughly relationship, and this is exactly what Ban and the majority of the civilized world is saying." (liberty)

-- Strange. Everyone wants peace, but exclusively on their terms. I'm sure a compromise can be reached, but Pristina will have to realize that while the "majority of the civilized world" as you state wants an agreement, not everyon stands completely behind them.

What on Earth is Ban Ki-Moon doing talking about a non-exist 'kosova' when he should be over in Port au Prince in Haiti coordinating the relief effort as Head of the UN.
I see the US has taken control of the airport there and directing the whole show. (Hypocrites)
It's time for the World's nations to convene an extraordinary general meeting to re-establish a new UN which must be free from bullying and interference and capable of rapid reaction to World disasters.
Mr. Ki-Moon should do the honourable thing and resign today.

Cooperation and dialog is the only way in this conflict, if you like it or not.

Stop to try to involve the interational organisation in your struggle. Always remember without these organisation you would have still war over there. Would it be better????

Even if you don´t recognize the structure on the other side; you don´t loose anything if you speak to the individual and stakeholders, because they are fact.

Accept the fact on both sides. Kosovo is fact! And the Serbs living in the North are also fact. Both have interesset, you can´t ignore.

nik

pre 14 godina

you are Serbian with Albanian heritage.
