The point of EU membership, for Serbia and its neighbours, is to finally have some stability within the balkans.
I can think of many worse things that can happen to Serbia if it does not join this club.
If you weigh up the options, pound for pound, the benefits outweigh the costs. I know, I have traveled, lived and worked in many of the EU countries and all members, including myself, have, in one way or an other, benefitted.

Wow! Great to read that it's almost 2/3 who support EU integration, and the number is on the rise. Surely the percentage will rise further over the time, now that people in Serbia can travel freely to the (most) EU-countries, especially to Serbia's neighbour countries, and can see how they benefitted from being EU members.

Reading all the comments here on B92 could lead you to the impression that it's just the opposite, i.e. 2/3 against EU integration. But of course, people posting here are not representative, and I even think a lot of them are not even living abroad and not in Serbia any more, so they don't care.

Hey Milica, you can pull the other leg now if you like! If I adopted the same method of polling I can get a 70% to 80% approval rating for Adolph Hitler in Serbia or Israel.

Funny how I just came back from visiting Belgrade and 65% seems a little high of a number who support EU intergration. I really do not understand where they get their numbers from, its been very clear to me that Serbians have no interest in this "club", for obvious reasons.

This reall must be an accurate statistic especially since its done by a governmental pro eu group.I wonder who funds this group, maybe the same person who sponsors human rights watch.God bless independent Serbia.
