First of all congrats to Mr. Josipovic and there will be an inaguratin whether Tadic is there or not.
Mr.Sejdiu will be there and it's up to Mr. Tadic to decide. I'd say he wont go to Zagreb because they're Croats and we all know how Serbs hate them so bad.

Please grow up.
If Serbs hated anyone then Serbian would be in chaos now.
Serbia has the most ethnic minority groups and there is no trouble at all, unlike in Kosovo and yes even in Croatia. Croatians are well known for attacking busses of Serb basket ball players and supporters.
You got that all wrong.

The hate you talk about is in Kosovo. Take a closer look. Another Serbian cemetary got vandalised. Now that's real hate when even the dead are not left to rest in peace.

On the other hand, Tadic could completely own this, walk up to Fatmir, extend his hand, and be the bigger gentleman.

I fully agree and it will show that Tadic is wise man.

But why Kosvo and not Abkhazia or Taiwan?
(Ron, 16 January 2010 01:10)

Because recognition is a sovereign decision of a state. No state is obliged to recognize or not recognize another entity.

Every region has it's own history. After the war in 1999 between the serbian army and the people of Kosovo there was no chance for the people of Kosovo to live in the same state as Serbia. We cannot rely our lives and the future of our children hoping that the serbian people will not elect another Milosevic into power.

And the people of Kosovo are now more safe and happy and can choose their own future. Why should some slavic-serbian dude in Belgrade rule the lives of albanian native in Kosovo when they can rule them self much better ?

Kosovo is already independent and there is no way back to somthing else. The so called ''diplomatic battle'' of Serbia is dead long time ago. Tadic,Jeremic &co are at an dead end now as you see. Both Eulex and neighbouring countrys are showing Serbia their firm stance when it comes to Kosovo. Eulex will integrate north Kosovo and Kosovo goverment will gain control over that territory peacefully. Montenegro have established diplomatic ties with Kosovo before the ICJ rule and Croatian president Josipovic have invited the president of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu to his inaguration. Everything is going by the plan and when the serbian pararel structurs in Kosovo has been disbanded hopefully the K-serbs also will follow this positive development.

Serbia will in the future recognize Kosovo and we all know that it will be the condition for Serbia to enter EU.

If Tadic wont go he will send a messege to the world that Serbia dosen't want good neighbourly relations with it's neighbours. It is also an act of self-isolation of Serbia if Tadic dosen't attend the inaguration.

I wonder when Tadic and the serb people are going to realize that Kosovo now is an country and that is the reality. Croatia,Montenegro,Albania and Bulgaria have clearly shown you wich side they support. Kosovo now have strong allies including the world power United States of America.

Serbia has lost all battles against the people of Kosovo and that's it. Serbia should stop putting energy, time and money on somthing that is irreversble. Forever.

Thanks to Croatia for it's great support to the people of Kosovo.

Not a good start.

If "Kosova" is that important to Croatia then sobeit.
Sure Ivo, I would like lots fo things to but I cannot get them and it's the same for you. Now you can deal with this reality on the ground.

You asked for it, you got it.
Never ask the question whose answer you know.

Just yesterday I wrote a comment. "If you are invited to a party either go or don't but don't put conditions." Tadic was asking for the answer he already knew. Now that is tough to swallow he should regret of making Much ado about nothing.

Sam

I don't get why Tadic is so bothered about Sejdiu attending. Josipovic already sounds like a big step up from Mesic. But I don't see in any way how attending Jospiovic's inaugaration is indirectly recognising Kosovo. After all Tadic already allowed Visa-free travel throughout the EU for citizens of Serbia but not Kosovo. Surely that's a far greater indirect recognition than this would be.

Mike

pre 14 godina

Tadic should go. It would prove that he's flexible enough to work with conditions that are not all of Belgrade's wish. Besides, it's not like Tadic is expected to even make eye contact with Sejdiu. But by not going, Tadic makes him far more important a person than he really is.

Sejdiu is a non-entity. And Tadic can show that by ignoring him.

On the other hand, Tadic could completely own this, walk up to Fatmir, extend his hand, and be the bigger gentleman.
