Montenegro: Police remove Serbian flag

What a stupid thing to do. In a democratic country you can fly any flag over private property.

Just when you think that Montenegro cannot disgrace themselves any more. And for what? Keeping Milo out of jail.

I think the Serbs should do the same by removing albanian flags in Presevo and by expelling montenegrins from Serbia.
This is just more proof that Serbs are being played. Let everyone have their way with Serbia while the rights of Serbs in neighbouring territories are being redused to nothing.

According to albanians Kosovo is independent but why do they wave albanian flag there? Albania is another country yet that nations flag is all over Kosovo. And what about albanians showing of their flag in Presevo. Should Serbs take that down? You can't have the cake and eat it too!

I don't want to insult your intelligence however, I need to teach you a thing or too about the difference Serbs, Albanians and Montenegrins.

First of all, Kosovo is populated by 90% ethnic Albanian population. Therefore, Albanian flag is a must.

Secondly, Montenegrins are not Serb!! Therefore, they have their own flag.

Finally, Serbs need to stop acting like they are some kind of superpower in the region. Case made, a small country like Montenegro with 600,000 in population will not tolerate Serbian politics.

While the flag is indeed the red headed stepchild that no one wants, flying the flag of Albania in Kosovo is flying the flag of another country. If you want to argue the Albanian flag is the flag of the Albanian people, your argument is already nullified since CG is full of Serbs and they are effectively doing the same.

Nationalists of all sorts are such funny people, but Albanians bring a particular chuckle to my face :)

They need to do the same in Andrejevica(hope I am spelling it right).

As long as state's flag is next to it, it can not be removed unless, as usual, serbs can be pushed arround where ever they are.

I find this a bit disturbing. A flag is a flag and should be erected proudly from any member of any nationality that wishes to do so. I think they should put the flag back on and stop being trouble makers. We need to distance ourselves from this Balkan mentality where a flag is seen as a threat. I am an Albanian and may not agree with many Serbs commenting here about Kosovo, but in this case I believe they are right to be upset.

Your comment is wrong, I am Montenegrin and also consider myself a Serb. Montengrins are Serbian brothers, some view themselves as more Montengrin and others see them selves closer to Serbs. It is all a matter of personal choice, but if the bigger picture is looked at then one can see that Montengrins are proud of their Serbian ties and as are Serbs, equally proud.
In the centre of most Montengrin towns there are Serbian flags for example outside the Serbian orthodox church in Kotor, sveti Nikola.

I thought this was only possible in Western European countries. It looks like the US is getting more socialsit that they can tollerate people who benefit of the social system like yourself.

Mike brother you're at it again. You're not good for us ;) They can have the flag the law lets them. I dont know about Montenegrin laws but its pretty standard as far as I know that minorities can display flags.
You're right Albania is another country and Serbs are another nation and we'll never behave like Albanians. Get it? Anyway it seems a little early for this stuff to be starting in Montenengro. Or my watch is late.
