(sadly) I am not convinced it will come soon.
(bganon) you are right it will no be happening. The Serbs lost a detrimental amount of good will by their horrendous behaviour through the 90s. The other former Yugo republics and nationalities are weary of the Serbs and very suspicious of them. The Serbs do not try to make amends for the 90s they continue and justifie them ,only white wash with a lot of platitudes that no one takes seriously. Like they say a talk is cheap actions speak loud and clear ,they were and are very clear of Serb intentions.

Dealing with Djukanovic and defend Serb interests in Montenegro could have been done already, our government for the sake of good relations hasn't taken the measures.

With the mafia of Djukanovic. Launch indictments against members, especially those outside government (like Milos brothers). Seize their properties and arrest them when they're in Serbia. E.g. When they recognized Kosovo some newspapers reported how Milo's brother has criminal ties, regularly visits Serbia, invests in businesses (through criminal proceeds) and owns a large amount of property in contravention to Serbian laws -- the same is likely true for others.

When it comes to our interests. Hurting Montenegro for hostile acts will cause more change then the failed policy of getting Serb political forces their behaving as they have so far. (Afterall so long as people in coastal areas have benefitted from him, these policies will fail).

Serbia could react to this hostility with the following actions:
* Requiring that Montenegrins using our health services pay in cash as non-residents.
* Not giving special treatment to Montenegrin students here. Still treated as if we were 1 state.
* Investigating the investments of Montenegrins.
* Reacting to the hostility by gradually denying work permits to the 300,000 or so Montenegrins who live in Serbia.

The reason Milo is not in jail is plain and simple. He cooperated with NATO and the imperialists in their dispicable anti-Serb rampage throughout the 90's. For that, he was allowed to raise money by smuggling cigarettes. The disgusting thing is, is that on these high speed boats there were also women who were forced into prostitution, and when police boats were on their tail, Milo's men used to throw the women into the water, forcing the police boats to rescue the women and let the criminals get away. Please read 'McMafia' by Misha Glenny if you want to know more about this.
The US State department ordered the Italians to drop the case, and that is where it stands. Should little Milo get out of line, he will be in the slammer and he knows it. The 'civilized west' coddles criminals/traffickers like Milo all the time if they play along with their imperial games.

As long as you work for the united states, you can commit any crimes you want. But favor from the us doesn't last for the rest of your life.

'Time for Belgrade to galvanize Serbs in CG against this elected criminal Djukanovic'

Been there, done that, it failed. And it would fail again.

The way to defeat Djukanovic is for Serbs to form a broad alliance with Montenegrin parties / civil society / media and above all to sound like a party capable of government.

Personally I can hardly wait for that day to come about but (sadly) I am not convinced it will come soon.

Time for Belgrade to galvanize Serbs in CG against this elected criminal Djukanovic whose political opportunism tore a great victimized nation apart & who still pursues aggressively Serbophobic policies.
