As for the thermal power plants’’ Nikola Tesla’’, they were almost dilapidated facilities in 2001. As it is a public-sector firm, the government embarked on overhauling and restoring the plants, investing a few hundred million euros from the budget and EU donations. So renovated, the plants generate great amounts of power ,also maintained by competent engineers. In EU countries a several hundreds workers are needed for maintenance of such plants, but in TENT there are about three thousand workers,a lot of which are executives, assistants, directors, counsellors, and so on. They all have very high wages. If they were employed in a private enterprise, they would never dare to strike.
