Mesić: Why is Tadić angry?

Croatian President Stjepan Mesić said that he does not see a reason for his Serbian counterpart Boris Tadić to be angry over his visit to Kosovo.

I think that President Mesic done a good thing visiting Kosovo. Myself as a Croat i support and so do Croats Kosovo independence.I also like the background where Mr. Mesic is that map of Kosovo looks so 3d !

Tadic knows very well that Mesic commuted the sentence of a Serbian war criminal as well yet no indignant outrage by Tadic on this. How can Serbia be a leader of the region when it is too busy either trying to invade its neighbours (1990s) or character assasinate them. Hence Mesic's visit to Kosovo b/c Croatia is the only country in the region capable of leading b/c unlike Serbia they are not beholden to the past - Croatia have opened their archives to the ICTY, MI6 etc. Serbia is still looking behind its back b/c of its past. Only the truth will set Serbia free and they should open their archives to the world.

It is not nationalistic to attack the indefensible. What Mesic did was wrong.
(bganon, 10 January 2010 14:39)

I think every Albanian under normal circumstances would agree that this was wrong but we're operating on a different dimension here. An Albanian would call black white just to spite a Serb and vice versa.

This is just a defense mechanism. No Serb would ever condemn the early release of a Serb convicted for the killing of Albanian children and women, in fact they would cheer such a decision so do not expect the Albanians to do it either.

Do I regret that things have come this? Yes, but it is a fact unfortunately.

By the way Bganon I always enjoyed reading your level headed comments and commend you for speaking the truth more than anyone else here on this site.

Kosovari I'm afraid I have never supported Kosovo indepedence.

I concede that I'm willing to compromise further than the average Serb and that I feel some kindship towards Kosovo Albanians, mainly due to our shared history in our former state but also because of some good personal experiences.

What a tool. He's doing whatever it takes to deliberately provoke Tadic. At least he's showing is true colors. Breaking news Mesic, the Nazis lost WWII, and so did your Croatian lap boys.

It's interesting to see you get outraged over such a gesture when I have yet to hear your outrage on the Serbs bombing the Croatian embassy in Belgrade (Feb 2008).

Your reply is much appreciated.

Are you comparing child killers to this?

I have yet to see you get outraged about NATO bombing of Serbia, killing children on that occasion too.

OK let's stick to embassies. How about NATO bombing a Chinese embassy where there were casualties. Are you going to get outraged here?
C'mon, you start.

when you started posting here you were a very neutral writer and at times you even promoted Kosovo's statehood. With time I have noticed your posts becoming more and more radical and very nationalistic. We all know that the sentence was decreased because of a practice commonly known as "Good Behavior".

The Albanian recent reaction and "applause' to Mesic's decision to reduce the sentence of that "thing", is of no surprise to those that are familiar with the Albanian culture and their history of treating women and young girls-- especially Christian women and Christian young girls.

The bonding and "marriage" between the Croatians and the Albanians, could have only taken place---where the darkness lives.

Your wedding presents from the Serbian people are being carefully wrapped, and you will be getting them as soon as they are ready.

Patience is a virtue.

Why is Tadic angry?

Tadic, angry? Maybe, maybe not. But anger will lead us nowhere. The only correct response is forgiveness--and the mothers and fathers and grandparents of the 12 year-old girl will especially find this a difficult lesson to learn. But, it is the only way.

To those who wish to hurt and love to hate, you can hurt only yourselves, and you cannot now or ever prevail against the Kingdom of God, which is forever fully united and fully protected. Attempting to use evil, and timing it for political tit for tat will be applauded only by others who love evil. Those who crave to exterminate others and who find glory in WW2 tortures and slaughters that took place in their concentration camps--where you sought to see your blessed Brothers as human pigs and sub-human.

Black humor jokes about non-Croatian ethnic groups is on a steady rise in modern day Croatia, and it should be of no surprise to the West that the Croatian people find their president's black humor funny, entertaining, normal and welcomed by an overwhelming majority. SICK!

Mr. Mesic,

Do you know what the word poor means?
It has nothing to do with money. Only the spirit can be poor. And you have chosen to represent the depths of the poverty that your poor spirit lives in and is a self-inflicted nightmare.

Hahahaha, oh man. I'm almost spit out my coffee in laughter. This guy reminds me of some old dude in a big Oldsmobile driving 25 mph in the left hand lane of the highway and wondering why everyone's honking at him and flipping him the finger. Someone needs to coach Mesic on how to lie conviningly. What a joke! :)

How provocative can you get? This monobrowed mean-spirited agitator is trying his hardest to be as provocative as possible.

Speaking as an outsider, I would far rather have a diplomatic and professional leader like Tadic than someone who dresses up provocation as being reasonable. It's so transparent.

And no, "Noose", Serbia is not going to be made to recognise Kosovo prior to joining the EU. The EU has gone out of its way to confirm that it won't be the case.

bganon

Mesic knows very well how this would play out. He has made his own bed and now he plays the fool pretending he didn't know what he did would upset Tadic, Serbs and those that truly care about human rights.

And Mesic did not answer the question as to why he commuted the sentence of that war criminal. Instead he used doublespeak - making no sense at all.

If he was to commute a sentence of somebody whose sentence was suspected of being over the top, or of somebody who may have been innocently convicted that that is an honourable thing.

The question remains Mesic - why did you commute the sentence of a convicted war criminal and child murderer?

“I would have supported him coming with me here and meeting with Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu and the citizens that welcomed us whole-heartedly,” Mesić said after visiting the Croatian minority in the Kosovo village of Janjevo, according to the Croatian Hina agency.

Mr. Mesic your intention is well taken ,but Mr. Tadic is like the old saying goes,as follows: " No guts no Glory"
