Constantly we hear the so called "Bosniaks" claim that they were the victims of this war. Alleged war criminal Haris Salajdzic has yet to recognise the 4,000 Croats & Serbs that vanished from Central Bosnia between 1992-1995. Why hasn't this ever been mentioned on the world stage. The politics the west is currently enforcing in BiH is so far one sided that it's dangerous. Naser Oric, Dedakovic and others are all free and walking around BiH like nothing ever happend. How can BiH survive when you have a government that allows this to happen. 97% of Croats in Herceg-Bosnia will always shake the hand of a Serb as they see the Serbs as christian brothers, different in Croatia proper of course. The Croats & Bosniaks will never work together, so trying to convince people that BiH will survive is absolutely laughable. 'Why are we wasting time with this fake state'!

More than 1,000 villagers fled, carrying their children and the wounded through the high snow, walking for some five kilometers over mountain passes until they reached the Drina River, and were transported across to Serbia to safety.

I can swear that in 1993,BBC showed those images and said those people marching during the snow were Bosnian Muslims not Serbs.

For Vladimir, I have read Judah and Malcolm and you will not get much insight with these authors or mainstream books found at popular bookstores. Let me recommend two books for starters that are not produced in mass numbers that challenge authors like Judah, Malcolm, mainstream western press and so forth; "Fools Crusade" by Diane Johnstone" and Media Cleansing; Dirty Reporting: Journalism and Tragedy in Yugoslavia" by Peter Brock. There are many more, but these two are great starters to dispel the war as it was told from CNN and the likes.

Ilija,

Good choices and I would also recommend Michael Parenti's "To Kill A Nation: NATO's Attack on Yugoslavia" and Scott Taylor's "Inat : Images of Serbia and the Kosovo Conflict." These are worthy additions to your suggestions I think...

If anyone like myself is unhappy about the BBC's suffocating silence when it comes reporting crimes committed against Serbs compared to their eagerness to cover the hunt for Mladic or Radovan the Terrible, simply send this B92 article to the address below. Play your part in correcting the balance I say. Get the truth out. Don't let it die.

The population of Srebrenica was starved, the only food was in those surrounding villages. During Oric's trial the Serbs claimed these villages were undefended, that was proven not to be true. It is sad that innocent people were killed including Serbs. In eastern Bosnia you could find hundreds of crimes committed against Bosniaks of this magnitude or greater. War criminals should be punished but come on, 90% of all war crimes were committed by the VRS and Serb irregulars, it was the stated war time policy to of the Bosnian Serb leadership. You should look at the whole picture instead of just the Serbain one seen thru a pinhole...

N. Malcolm has been for many years president of the Anglo-Albanian Association in the UK (or is that Society) - something that is rarely mentioned. Google him (and check out old pages of the wayback machine at archive.org on the AAA), especially in combination with a 'short history of kosovo' and the results will show up a slagging match with a serb historian who's name escapes me for the moment as Malcolm only used albanian historical archives for his book on Kosovo and did not bother to look at the historical archives in Belgrade.

The sad thing about Malcolm is that like Judah (both coming from journalistic backgrounds), they both think that they are actually impartial, if not standing above the whole imbroglio.

Malcolm by far the worst of the two. Self-righteous to whit too.

The reason these crimes are unpunished is because the fact of Bosnian crimes against Serbs doesn't mesh with the typical neocon/neoliberal narrative. I just finished reading Noel Malcolm's Short History of Bosnia and Tim Judah's The Serbs, and in neither book is there any mention of Oric or his crimes. There is, however, plenty of self-righteous Anti-Serb slurs in the two books. We Serbs, just like the Palestinians, are second class citizens in the rabid capitalist dominated world. I would hope there is a Serbian politician, along the lines of Dodik, who would refuse Serbian compliance with the West until our citizens get the same rights all other citizens receive.

All while cnn and bbc were pumping anti-serb propaganda 24/7 (american propaganda machine) ... unbelievable.

May the souls of the victims rest in peace.

Officials from Fedracija of course say no word today nor attend memorial service while Naser Oric walks free as a bird.
Our western "civilized" and "righteous" friends don't care for Serbian victims becuse Serbs must be bad guys and someone to blame for Srebrenica and everything else that occurs in Balkan.
"Oh those bloody Serbs disobey again"....

For our Albanian friends this is going to be a great peace of Serbian propaganda,or most probably a deed of Serbian DB, or collective suicide.

Well, for those who cannot understand why Srebrenica happened, the answer is right in this article.

How dare B 92 write about Serbian victims? News like this will distort the immage of Serbs being the bad guys and enable the truth from reaching the surface. If America says Serbs are the bad guys then that's how it is because America has guys who never lie: Bill Clinton and George W Bush. Jihaaaa!
