Let's wait for the population-genetics data. According to some anthropologists (Carlton Coon, for example), Montenegrins are Slavicized Albanians, based on height, appearance, national costume, etc. ["Etc." means I read the book decades ago.] DNA evidence will be able to help unravel such questions, probably to everybody's dissatisfaction.
(Amer, 5 January 2010 15:24)

Is there anyone in the Balkans (besides Serbs) who is not Albanian or any territory which does not belong to Albania?

You guys are claiming everythig.

"Montenegrins are Serbs. This is a fact not just some invented PR info like the Albanians like to use."

Ministry for Kosovo State Secretary Oliver Ivanović said that Montenegro should think hard before establishing diplomatic relations with Kosovo.

I think someone from Montenegro will tell him to keep his mouth shut and not interfere in someone elses affairs, also he says that 30% of Montenegrins consider themselves as Serb!, does that mean that 70% of Montenegrins support Milo's decision to recognize Kosova?.
Pretty much what he said is in Kosova's favor and I wonder if Prishtina bribed him for this!.

Oli Oli you might lose your job and trust me there will be no position for you in Prishtina or anywhere else in Kosova.

I think you're that one who should think hard before you say something and not the government in Podgorica.

Kosovari, could you please explain what seems like a threat? I'd be very interested in understanding what you personally consider threatening and where it is that I might have misinterpreted the article and/or previous comments because I was unable to locate anything specifically threatening.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

What a non sense?!! The same individual (so-called secretary …), claiming the majority, as a fact that must be respected. Sounds a bit weird; because this individual constantly repeats (sponsored with the tremendous Serbian material support) 11 years now -how the territory and historical rights, have an advantage at any kind of dispute, between two or more nations. Abruptly, he will be calling now on the rights of the dissatisfaction of the “people” on a territory! He is drastically giving up of his “principles”; even though, we are fully aware of his double-standards. He felt free to believe that, if anything occurs in contrary to his desires, to declare as a failure; as in this case, since the Montenegrins run in discordance to the Ivanovic’s expectances, they can be looking forward to nothing but ignorance by the rest of the World!
Here is an advice Mr. Ivanovic, before declaring anything, one should make some analysis accordingly.

“I think that the international factor will not allow them to open the question of territory. These administrations [in Podgorica and Priština] do not have any say whatsoever about their own territory and I think that it will pass fairly quietly,” Ivanović said.'

Well said Oliver. The imperialists have created two banana republics who have no say on what goes on in their own territory, and are very obedient servants. One is run by a cigarette smuggling thief who will do anything to keep himself out of jail, and the other is run by night club bouncers.

Either way Montenegro will bark to the US until it see's that Russia is the key element in the region. Not to worried about little Tito {Milo}. He will fall in the end.

"[Ivanovic] went on to claim that 'trying to ingratiate themselves to the international community and powerful countries' will not bring anything good to Montenegro, and will at the same time, hurt the already fragile relations with Serbia."

-- But knowing the precarious situation CG is in since independence, and knowing the efforts by Milo and his loyal zadrgua to legitimize what is little more than a criminal enterprise-run government, Podgorica is in no position to resist international pressure. Still, it will not get CG into the EU any faster than Serbia, and I'm beginning to think more and more than EU eggheads, in an effort to stave off more Balkan squabbles like that between Slovenia and Croatia, will move to bring as much of the Balkans into the EU as possible. At the very least Serbia with CG and Albania.

Interesting how Montenegro politicians are split about opening an embassy in Pristina or even recognizing it in the first place. This is also the case in regards to most of those European countries who recognized Kosovo. When people learn about the truth and the Albanian campaign to kill and expell all the remaining Serbs more and more countries will realize they should have listened to the majority who was and still are against and independet Kosovo.

gajo

well they should think because almost 50% of Montenegro are actually Serbs and if they keep doing what they are doing then the Serbs will want full autonomy in all areas where they are majority and in those areas anyway they are 90% are more so they would vote and get the full autonomy and even full independence and stay with serbia and the government could talk and cry why did they go against their own people, which i dont understand why and the entire population doesn't know why but i am guessing money and 100% positive because they could sell and by stolen items for the gangster government its time for a change and time to use our heads a little bit because montengrins are Serbs end of story genetically and blood not even 1% different nothing. even all fighters and kings were all serbs.

Nice way to endear your self to the Montenegrin government....NOT.

What's the point of asking them to not establish diplomatic relations with Kosovo when you "know" they don't have a say of it? Hypocrisy??

Oliver Ivanovic, it is only normal for Montenegro to establish diplomatic relations with a neighbour it recognises. In fact it seems rather pointless to recognise a neighbour and not establish diplomatic relations. The whole point of explicitly recognising a country is so that you can conduct diplomatic relations.

Posters on this site complain about countries interfering with Serbia's affairs; here is a perfect example of Serbia interfering with Montenegro's affairs.

I hope MN goes through with it so Serbia taps into the Serbs who havent betrayed their identity as they have in BIH & starts to destabilize Milo's regime. It wont be hard, as there are people within the regime who dont want to recognize the Pristina gangsters, most citizens still recognize the SPC & call their language Serbian.

The dreaded "foriegners" are at it again. It's hard to be a Serb, surrounded on all sides by "foriegners". And the worst is, they all look different, some are black, some are yellow, which is ok, but some look just like us and you don't know what they are until they open their mouth and start speaking with forked tongues. May the Holy Mother Church guide us in these difficult times.
