> as to when will Kosovo be rid of him, will be when the majority of people feel he is not the right person for the office. As of yet I do not think that is the case.
For all intents & purposes, 'pristina' is run by the albanian mafia through protege's like Thaci. Until & if the K-albanian people can get rid of this cancer, they stand little real chance of making any progress. And replacing someone like Thaci with someone like Haradinaj is not the answer.
Repeating, just when will albanians get rid of Thaci & his clones?
Repeating, given the endemic nature of this cancer in Kosovo, is this even possible?
> As I am not a citizen of Kosovo, the decision will not be up to me.
Apologies.. assumption on my part.
> The reference to Milosevic, was that Serbian interests lie with the ethnic Serb population in Kosovo and no one else.
Self evidently false - see the case of the gorani school which you yourself acknowledge.
As to the K-albanian majority, what do you expect given that they are the ones refusing to even negotiate in good faith. If & when they come to their senses & do so, only then will they be entitled to any sort of aid from Serbia.
> but it did not take me long to realize that was an impossibility.
When you have the US, UK etc saying that they will recognise a seccession if status talks have no successful outcome, of course talks will fail.
> As far as the school, should someone go into Australia and build a building with no permits or paperwork, how long would it stand?
In Australia, bulldozing a school for lack of paperwork would be political suicide. In Australia, the courts would send in building inspectors to examine the work & to issue remedial notices if required - only if the work was thoroughly substandard, would bulldozers ever be sent in.
In Australia, a minority could be expected to be treated with impartiality by the authorities & not be subject to stonewalling & obstruction. And in Australia, those same minorities would not be persecuted based solely on their ethnicity.
> I could not find the refernces to the Gorani school but I remember the situation and I think 'shiny new' is a stretch.
Funding for the reconstruction was approved in March 08 & newly refurbished/expanded school was demolished in Oct 08 - 'shiny' & 'new' is exactly what it was. http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2008&mm=10&dd=12&nav_id=54161
> Since little or none of that money every reaches into the Kosovo Serbs hands,
This is what I find to be a bit of 'a stretch' & is what prompted my original comment. While there is undoubtably significant fraud, sorely doubt that the remainder could be described as 'little or none'. That is nothing but propaganda on your part.
