Central bank sells EUR 58.5mn

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has sold EUR 58.5mn in order to prevent disturbances in the inter-bank market.

'Wouldn't it be more correct to say "Central bank buys XXX million RSD"?'

I think the point is that they're putting to work some of the borrowed euros for the purpose of stabilizing the dinar, which after all was the reason they asked for the loan.

Wouldn't it be more correct to say "Central bank buys XXX million RSD"?

Isn't that what it is really about? To take a chunk of RSD away from the financial market thereby decreasing RSD availability => increasing the exchange rate.
