All I am saying is that Serbs in Kosovo, in this case Gracanica have legally elected their representatives. This should be admired and not condemned, in the end of the day the people have a right to choose if they want to participate or not.

Yes - You are right. Serbs form Kosovo voted in legal elections of Repubic of Serbia at May 11th 2008. This should be admired and not condemned. In these elections voted in Kosovo 45,83% registered serbian voters - much more than in Kosovo pseudoelections in 2009. Gračanica have their own authorities elected in 2008. Peoples who voted in Kosovo elections are frustrated, becouse they lost elections in 2008 - in 2008 serbian elections won Radical Party and DSS. Look who won Kosovo pseudoelections in 2009 in Gračanica - 12 of 15 seats for SLS - party which totally lost legal serbian election in 2008. So - they only look for way for catch power. But this is imposible. In Gračanica real power have legal authorities elected in 2008.

I can clearly see that we have different opinions and it’s nothing wrong with this, in the end of the day we can agree to disagree. However, I don’t think that its right for you to criticize them for taking part in local elections organized from Kosovo, same as I don’t have a right to criticize them for previously taking part in elections organized by Serbia.

With reference to your comment about what Serbia did for Gracanica in last 10 years, I agree with you that Serbia have send millions for Gracanica but unfortunately the needy Serbs there never seen a penny – in contrast the individuals leaders chosen from Serbia have become extremely rich.

Milan,
Never the less they have been voted by the people who live in Gracanica, therefore they are legitimate and for that I wish them all the best on their efforts in improving the quality of life for the people there.
You might not like it but Serbs in Kosovo are tired of the false promises they got from Belgrade, now they have woken up and it’s only right for them to strive for better and realistic future. In the end of the day, what Serbia did for them in last 10 years? Absolutely nothing

Ximi - much more peoples from Gračanica voted in serbian local election :)
So - i belive, that You support these peoples who voted in serbian election and authorities elected by these peoples - this is voice of peoples of Gračanica.

Ps. Serbia, despite all obstacles in last 10 years, doing much more for peoples of Gračanica than albanian pseudoauthorities from Priština. Who build Gračanica health care center and postal and telecommunications building?? Who giving money for new houses in Gračanica?? Who paid money for Gračanica teachers or doctors??

Serbs of Kosovo are essentially used in the most despicable way from Serbs outside Kosovo for of course political reason.

Now how long will they wait for this dream of Kosovo being taken back again from Serbia? Are they willing to sacrifice their life (in terms of time) and wait until that dream maybe becomes true one day? Even if that happend we all know it will not happen peacefully, and they will be the one to suffer first.

If they do not engage in Kosovo's election and everyday affairs bacause Belgrade says so, they will only hurt themselves first, and K-Alb second.

There is no future with Belgrade, many K-Serbs understand this reality. Belgrade will always use them as a destabilising force, as a pawn to stir up troubles, which all sides of K-residends will suffer.

The K-Serb delegation visit to Tirana and K-Serb participation in governance in Gracanica, are a clear indicator that Belgrade can not change the new reality of the region, and that we should all accept it and move forward.

Things are beginnig to settle at last.

Thaci keeps his promises, and his promise to these fellow Kosovar citizens is that as long as you respect constitution of Kosovo there will be peace and prosperity in the entire Kosovo where minority Serbs live.

North of Mitrovica election will be soon held. Things are being planned & organised and evreything almost smooth as initially planned.
