I come from the Bradford area in West Yorkshire and Islamic Honour killings are not rare unfortunately.

If they break the law, punish them!

9.5/7.5 years for premeditated 1st degree murder? The brother & the accomplice should also be serving life sentences - in 3 different prisons.

There was a similar case in UK recently with the conviction of Mehmet Goren for the "honour killing" of his teenage daughter Tulay, thanks to the courageous testimony of the victim's mother.Similar circumstances with the German case with the perpetrators all being family members. It suffices to say that the body of the young lady was never found.

The problem with "honour killings" is that certain religious minorities use religious texts in literary sense as a way of life in their culture-common in Muslim faith as Shariah law is the way of life in many countries.

Western goverments,on the other hand, are burying their heads in the sand with their political correcteness and by turning a blind eye to islamists who are still obeying the whims and laws written by primitives from a time that no longer holds any relation to the real world.

The application of Islamic holy texts into family life in western countries is another nail in the coffin of multiculturism.
