President Boris Tadić said that he and Ombudsman Saša Janković will begin an initiative for criminal measures against violence in all segments of society.

Yet Tadic allowed the only official who was trying to systematically tackle the issue of violence in society and build a support network for victims, Dr. Teofilovic, the former Ombudsman of Vojvodina, to be replaced by an 83 year old, proving once again that in Serbian public life it is not what you know or do that is important but who you know or do it with.
