To Lazar:

The churches that exist in Egypt (there are trully some) have nothing to do with the mosques in Switzerland. And that is so, because these churches are NOT build with money from the Egyptian goverment (like the mosques in all over Europe do - from the goverments of every european country separately), but from the Central Coptic Church. This is an autonomous church with it's own resources and money, and is representing a very old minority of Egyptians, that are actually there before the creation of Islam and the arrival of the Arabs themselves! So, Egypt does not actually spend a penny to let even these Egyptian citizens to perform their religious rights. They just "allow" it because it is there much before Islam or the Arabs. On the other hand, all the mosques in Europe are build by money from their own goverments. So it is quite different. So when Egypt is going to spend even one penny to build a christian church even for the religious rights of their own citizens (like Europe does, but for the religious rigths of.... foreign people and immigrants), then you can send me a message.

Hellas, I must disagree on some stuff with you. About egypt. The christians there comprise almost 10% of the population, so they are significant. They do have churches there, lots. The problem is that they have pretty much no political representation and have been marginalized, but they do have churches in Egypt. I'd agree with you on the other countries.

All those muslims calling for a ban on Swiss products are a bunch of hypocrits who don't see what is happening in their own countries.

They demand rights from others but take away the rights of infidels in their own country! For example the Copts in Egypt let alone Saudi Arabia where the mention of Christianity is a blasphemy.

Freedom and respect works both ways.

As the Muslims are seeking to boycott Swiss products, how about the rest boycott anything coming out of the Middle East until Saudi Arabia builds the biggest Church in the region, right next to Al-Masjid al-Ḥarām in Mecca.

The hypocrisy of these people is just incredible. They want to build their mosques anywhere but if you try that on their home ground it’s not on. You might want to remove some of that prejudice from your shoulders first then come back and tell me how you are so offended at the Swiss action.

At least in Switzerland you can build your prayer rooms, but if I attempted to build a Church in Mecca, all hell would break loose.

I also think it is time for Europeans to boycott every single Arab product - including oil and.... immigrants coming to the west! Now the muslims are going to boycott countries for not allowing any more islam mosques in their own lad - are we kidding here?? The West and the whole world is sick and tired with the fanaticism of the Muslim people and the Muslim countries. Nobody should "dare" to say or do anything against Islam, while in Islamic countries they just don't allow any other religion! Really how many christian churches Saudi Arabia has?? Algeria probably? Egypt? Turkey? And how easy could be to build EVEN ONE christian church in Saudi Arabia, are they going to allow it?? And finally are the churches in those countries more than the mosques in Switzerland or much much less..... Muslims brutally abuse any other religious right apart from Islam in their own country. West should wake up and take the fanatic Muslims (including their own countries that promote fanaticism) much more seriously and drastically.....

They just proved that the minarets really should not be there - the fact that they call them "our minarets", hence that they are not swiss.

At any rate, france and italy will soon follow suite. :)
