JAT's best profiting flights are to Croatia, Serbs love buying Croatian products (hence why there is a 400 million euro trade surplus for Croatia), Serbs love the Croatian coast, and Croatia has spent billions on the reconstruction of Serb homes, and many Serbs are returning; the reason mainly being that paychecks in Croatia are double the ones in Serbia. People are less "nationalist" then you think, its all about money in the Balkans, true Balkan residents know this. When will we Serbs and Croats realize who the real ennemies are? Maybe easy for me to say coming from a mixed family from the Udbina area. We mix just fine! I am by no means a communist, communism is terrible, but the only time in history we were legitimately able to play the "big powers" was when we had the old country. Granted Yugoslavia should not be tried again, but a LOT more cooperation would be a much better idea than having the EU,Russia and America plunder our public sector and corporations for mere fractions of their worth. Jugopetrol, INA, Bosna...all stolen from their rightfull owners! Think about it.

Keep blocking Croatia i say!

I am a Croatian citizen, and i believe that Croatia has a hell of a lot to answer for. Much more than this border issue with Slovenia.

Croatia is constantly provoking Serbia as well as Slovenia. And isnt doing anything to promote good neighborly relations.

As previous post have mentioned, Croatia still has to repatriate over 100,000 Serbs that have been expelled.

croatia should have all Serbs return to their homes in their historical lands of krajina then give them full autonomy and after vote for independence if want to because it is historically Serbian land and was not part of croatia in history and istra was i believe Italian -Slovenian lands also so allot of issues and land disputes are going on in croatia and in history croatia was only Zagreb and some surroundings so this should be out forward before any talks of croatia joining euro are anything until the real facts are dealt with.

Today its Slovenia, tomorrow it will be Belgium, the day after it will be Spain and so on. These are just excuses to cover up the real reason and that is the Serb refugee issue and to a lesser extent borders with Serbia.

Berlin is mostly to blame for the whole fiasco. Croatia has an awful lot of amends to make before it should even be considered for EU membership.
Zagreb must deal with the situation regarding uprooted Serbs (and their property) from Eastern Slavonia and Krajina. Croatia must also come clean on the false propaganda which emanated from Zagreb during the NATO sponsored 'Balkan wars'.

what has Croatia done to improve the lives of Serbs?
What price did Croatia pay for expelling Serbs in 1995?
(Cloney, 21 December 2009 18:54) --

Fair enough question, I would say
