"At the end of the day Kosova and Albania are the same nation.
(EA, 21 December 2009 18:58)"

Ian UK, are you reading this?
(Mister, 21 December 2009 23:31)

Yes I am reading this and to an extent yes Kosovo and Albania are the same nation, but not the same country, they are different. Just like Rep of Ireland and Northern Ireland are the same nation and Flanders and the Netherlands are the same nation. So what is your point?

"At the end of the day Kosova and Albania are the same nation.
(EA, 21 December 2009 18:58)"

At the end of the day, Kosova consists of two nations: the great majority, who are part of the Albanian nation, and the minority, whom are part of the Serb nation. There is no such nation as Kosovar. So in theory that is a good reason to divide it between Serbia and Albania.

However, actual geography and demographics means that partition is not possible and the parts of the two nations are fated to live in the same space. You could partition along the Ibar, but that would leave most Serbs inside either a much more Albanian-dominated Kosova or a greater Albania. So it would be a dumb idea, even if it meant Serbia could keep a lot of resources.

Therefore, as with the similar situation existing in Cyprus, the only solution is an independent Kosovo/a as a federation between a large Albanian federal entity and a small Serb federal entity. In the same, rather than completely partitioned, would enable the smaller Serb cantons to join the same entity as the big one above the Ibar, much more so than if they were separate.

Obviously the idea of the majority of the population being again subjected to the rule of a country whose rule they never accepted as legitimate at any time since 1912 is not an option – to return Kosova to Serbia would be a bit like returning Greek-majority Cyprus to Turkey from whom Britain seized it last century.

> EA said nation, not country. Eeven my 12 years old cousin knows the difference.

'Nation' is usually a synonym for 'State' (ie: United Nations). It is also used in the context of an ethnic group, but usually only when referring to tribes of american indians (ie: Sioux nation).

What context 'EA' used is anyone's guess, but one can only go by what's written.

Hopefully, your 12 year old cousin's understanding on this is better than yours.

Can somebody help me: who's Hyseni?

According to this post this peculiar and tricky figure seems like a key player in the rank with Obama, Medvedev or Merkel pulling strings and pressing all the right buttons; and yet it is hard to guess who he or she is.

What I can sense from the tone of this post is that Hyseni has some supernatural powers, or/and that the poster while writing this was rather high.

Yes, it is unfortunate that he is prevented (by others, including the provisional institutions of government in Kosovo) from obtaining that benefit for all citizens of the Republic of Serbia. There are many criticisms that can be levied against a country in transition and ethnic break up but that is not one of them. That is quite a pathetic accusation.

He will be pleading with Lebanon to not recognise Kosovo and "to wait for the ICJ". We all know that the US, KSA and France will be asking Lebanon to recognise. Here we have Vuk trying to stop them from doing so. He'll probably tell Serbian media that this has been "another victory for Serbia" as he usually does.

I see PRN is still recommending his own posts all day.

How is it that an article barely three or four sentences is overpowered by the usual Cybertrolls of Neo-Illyria? And how is it that an article that simply says Jeremic is going to Lebanon suddenly turns to an assumption of Lebanon's "imminent" recognition of Kosovo? Granted the posters are who they are and couldn't carry an argument if were given to them in a bag with handles, but my goodness kids, your inability to mask your fear and hatred for one man behind haughty hubris is almost comical at this point.

Dragan, we are talking about the will of people that live in the territory which is subject of waste of money (your money) by Mr. Jeremic. As the breakage of the International Law is concerned, let us wait for the ICJ decision or opinion about. However, we have been living in the Balkans before you appeared (I don’t blame you for that) in this area, don’t mix up history with the feelings. The reality is so visible and touchable, try to be more positive for the fact that you are living so far away off this areas, and won’t or not you are subjective as far as this matter is concerned. I think that Kosovo’s independence is unstoppable for many reasons; first of all Serbia had never shown concern over Kosova’s people either Albanians or Serbians. The appetite for its soul was so naked that it did not hesitate to do so terrible atrocities that it lost credibility to govern over territory which is your concern in here.

Also ur nonstop nagging about international law, is it not violating international law to remove one's autonomous status, the massacre of more than 10 thousand people and the expulsion of 1 million people from their homes?

And at the same time u saying that muslims don't deserve to live and so on, but at the same time ur asking the muslim world to not recognize us and ur doing business with Iran.

At the end of the day Kosova and Albania are the same nation.

how do you figure this? Please explain; but without using egotistical methods, it just hurts your argument even more.

"Sorry , I disagree with you Leonidas, andi tell you why:" Vuk claims 2 mil Kosovars as Serbian citizens, but yet they can not have the same prevlage as Serbian citizens to travel without visa. I hope you understand what I mean.

Laki Bani,

History, the law and reality is on Serbia's side. As for theft, there are far greater punishable counter measures, but sadly the human element of "feelings," will always be one of the lesser voices.

Gustave:
> EA said nation, not country. Eeven my 12 years old cousin knows the difference.

'Nation' is usually a synonym for 'State' (ie: United Nations). It is also used in the context of an ethnic group, but usually only when referring to tribes of american indians (ie: Sioux nation).

What context 'EA' used is anyone's guess, but one can only go by what's written.

Hopefully, your 12 year old cousin's understanding on this is better than yours.

> Btw, another small country to recognize in January. Keep it up Jeremic.

May happen, may not. But judging by the track record of K-albanian 'diplomats', I wouldn't get my hopes up:

Recognitions in 1st half of 2008 ... 43.
Recognitions in 2nd half of 2008 .. 10.
Recognitions in 1st half of 2009 ... 7.
Recognitions in 2nd half of 2009 .. 4.

Keep it up indeed 'little Vuk'.
