Obviously the USA, as the world's greatest carbon emitting culprit of the last century, must be made to pay the most for any deal reached.

Climate change will be irreversible unless we start talking about containing population growth or the way in which capitalism continues to operate by raping the earth's environmental resources for private profit.Then the whole shebang means nothing in my opinion.

Actually I am very glad that the industrialized countries resisted in face of all those unreasonable demands of developing countries. As a read Angela Merkel wished at some point a total collapse of these negotiations to send a strong message to those developing state.
