"....the number of countries who recognized Kosovo in 2009 was much less than what had been expected by the advocates of the independence."

To be fair that is true. At the end of the day Serbia's main reason to apply to Court was purely to hold further recognition and...AND the most important to use the Court's Opinion as a justification towards the Serbian public for the loss of Kosova. At the end of the day it is not the fault of the current Serbian government but Milosevic regime.
Reading part of statements from both parties...HONESTLY believe that the Serbian arguments was very weak compare to those advocating Kosova's independence.
The Court will look was Serbia's war in Kosova a war to protect the sovereignity or to ethnically cleanse Kosova. I hope we all agree on that.
Secondly is Kosova a unique case or not according to international law?
Thirdly should a country be allowed according to international law to exercise terror towards "its own people" "within its territory".
Fourth, according to Res 1244, were Kosova Albanians banned from proclaiming independence from Serbia.

The Court will look into HARD FACTS and not what Serbs and Albanians would like to be consider as a fact.

"The reception was attended by more than 80 ambassadors"

aha, now we know why Serbia stopped expelling and received back the ambassadors from the countries recognizing Kosovo.

Jero you aren't moving any faster you just stopped from moving away from EU, which is a great achievement for the pro-westerners in Serbia. It was about time to apply breaks to the pro-eastern slide of Serbia.
