President takes part in Hanukkah celebrations

The Israeli embassy in Belgrade yesterday evening organized a traditional celebration to mark the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.

If I may correct your journalist, these were two different events. The candle lighting at the synagogue - attended by President Tadic and leaders of other religious communities - was organized by domestic Jewish groups. The Israeli Embassy hosted a separate, previously scheduled, reception in a different location.
