Surely Serbia can aim higher than the standards of Second World states like Ireland, Italy and Poland. If you want the catholic church to dictate your social policy then feel free to move to Croatia.
Abortion should get under the control of the Law and regulations which would establish the conditions when woman is allowed to perform abortion.
Some weeks ago I was reading the article in our Serbian newspaper when relevant she-Official of our Government kept on repeating and repeating that abortion is the one of the basic human rights?
Excuse me, in Ireland, Italy and Poland abortion is illegal, not allowed by the Government Laws, and this 3 countries among the numbers around the World with same regulations concerning abortion, are very legal and accepted indeed.
So, it does not have anything with legality rather with every particular case involved and concept of the moral views of certain society.
New Law should establish conditions when abortion can be accepted and performed like in this cases of under aged pregnant woman, if there are health risks involved for the woman and possibly the baby and so on...I don't want to speculate here about all legal and moral options involved.
And for the people, man and woman, not happy with it...common' there is contraception always. Heard for Durex, maybe?
Abortion issue should be one of the priorities in the programs of the numbers of Serbia's parties and to be established as question for the public debate followed by the change of the old amoral communist Laws which are still in use in Serbia like this one elaborating abortion.
At the end please reconsider the Patriarch Pavle thoughts as well about same subject who was thinking about abortion like a child-murder.
With this in the mind and after the public debate, set of the moral and legal norms should be added in Law which would regulate question of abortion following the moral concepts of post-communist Serbia.
they should have the babies and just put them up for adoption instead of killing these babies let serbia take care of them and people who could afford them and serbia should not allow abortions. but if none Serbs want abortions it should be their choice but for Serbians it should be NO because serbia is aging and we need these new generation of kids for the future of serbia and i say no abortions for Serbs period.
