About bloody time!
Belgrade will become a great destination to travel from and to. These cheap tickets will also mean that many more foreigners will take the opportunity to travel to Serbia. The more enthousiatic the first foreign arrivals on these cheap tickets are, the more that will follow. In the long run, It will be a great boost to the economy and ,hopefully, dissipate the xenophobic feelings that still exist with a minority of the population. The fact that JAT is considering budget travel is, in my opinion, a very smart move indeed. I suggest buy shares now and support your national airline while making a penny or two along the way.

NIKI Luftfahrt – Austria's second-largest airline by revenue – is expecting that 80,000 passengers will fly from Belgrade to Vienna during the first year.

80,000 passengers? Now that's a lot for one destination when considering, as some claim, Serbians don't have funds to travel.

Quite simply, if they have funds to travel to Montenegro or Croatia then they have funds to travel elsewhere also.

This should also improve JAT's bottom line. Sure, JAT will reduce flight costs but it should have far more passengers now.

This is great for tourism, for the economy and mostly for the people, who will get to go to countless new destinations visa-free.
