Sj,
First, as to China, I've been there not less than 15 times, both for personal and professional (2 years) purposes and grew up in Paris close to Chinese community. I'd not presume your knowledges as regards that country (as you wrongly do with me) but do not even try to teach me lessons, unless you're a well-known sinologist.
It's a fact that Chinese are very wise people and quite aware of their past, especially during Western rule down there. As I've previously said they'll not forget but nor are they systematically thinking about bloody and blind revenge, and this just because, as I said, they're wise people...exactly the contrary of Serbs and alcoholic Russians.
Following such an aim would mean allday tensions, wars, and first of all no prosperity. They know at best that in the world they also decided to integrate and to live in, prosperity comes from cooperation since global economy means interdependence: for instance, the US perhaps rely on Chinese cash flow but China rely on the West to buy its goods; do you really think that impoverished and middle-ages ex-USSR area and Africa can replace the 1 billion inhabitants western market ???
As to UK/US ties, I know you and your fellow citizens can't see the countries that bombed Serbia other than through servant/master sight since your hatred is so strong that it blinds you and I feel sorry you're so internally-disturbed and tortured...it must be so hard...
You say that Bush threatened Brown to withdraw all its investments from UK if he decided to get out of Iraq ??
You probably don't catch the info in your Russian newspapers...but he indeed got his troops out of Iraq...and just explain me how Bush could have been able to force thousands of PRIVATE companies to abandon such a market. it may happen quite easily in a stalinist publicly-owned economy as the Russian one...
Americans and Europeans have history, roots, culture, values, political and economical systems (...) in common, which of course doesn't mean we can't have different point of view on any matter...that's Democracy (google it...).
And as to Russian arms...hahaha, I can just strengthen my previous comments...they're indeed allmost rubbish. If you want to compare them with western arsenal...let's just have a look at a very active theater in which that comparison was easy to admire: Israeli-arab wars, all of them showed the ABSOLUTE SUPREMACY of the US armament. The F-16s and F-15s have been ridiculing all types of Russian planes.
And i saw that you worry about the next generation US fighter which, according to you, has never taken off; sorry but, first there's not one next generation fighter but 2: F-22 and F-35 and I'm mistaken there are not next generation fighters but current generation...Indeed, Russian newspapers probably once again weren't able to catch the info but these both planes have already concluded all technical tests and been ordered by the US, of course, and all NATO countries that were, in a way, involved in its conception (more than 2000 F-35 actually) such as UK, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Turkey etc.... And you know what ?? They're so advanced that their utility was once questioned because of an obvious lack of potential contenders in a medium future.
Of course, I trust you when you tell me that Indonesia brouht Mig-29s...but I can assure you it has nothing to do with performance (how can a rubbish 30 years-old plane even think of competing against a 5th generation fighter ??!!!). Such a country can't even dream of affording such technological jewels nor are the US interesting in offering it to them. The F-22, as its predecessor (F-15) is intended ONLY for the strongest America's allies (Japan, UK, Israel and Saudi Arabia).
Russian have not produced anything new for a while, even Russian specialists don't even try to hide that...cf RIA Novosti). They're thinking of buying French Mistral-class amphibious hips (what a shame for an ex-superpower) All their "new products" are just refurbished old systems (Mig 35: ex-Mig 29, S-400: ex S-300 etc....). In this way, they're just good at supplying impoverished third-world armies.
What I just wrote explains partly why Chinese have since now bought Russian arms: 1) they couldn't afford better , 2)because of Cold War and Tienanmen, US/EU refused to sell them anything...But now, its done, Russians are more and more useless, China produced itself everything: war planes (J-10), tanks, even Submarines. And so will India in a few days.
Albanians have nothing to be afraid of. Russia, as we can see will remain what is currently is: a medium frustrated mono-industry country... and please stop bothering us with your ridiculous idea of Russia (140 impoverished inhabitants) controlling EU (600 millions wealthy inhabitants). Russia has only gas (forget oil) and can't threat us of cutting supplies...even Stalin and Brejnev didn't dare and Why ??? Because just as Poutine...it's his ONLY source of income.
Would be pleased to hear of you again...I like our debate...
