It’s nice to be able to read different views from different peoples on this site. And I’m thankful to B92 for giving us opportunity to do so. But it’s also unfortunate to have characters like “Kosova-usa” and few others.
It’s best to ignore them and not respond to their posts.

Very important to invest money in rail and roads, Belgrade to Subotica takes 3 and half hours by train the same journey in the uk took 1 hour 20 .

Unfortunately Subotica-BP is not that much better either. It's only a single track and the speeds are slow even by local standard.

The BP-BG should be no more than three hours and the entire line should be double-track.

The slow speed is fine for the overnight travel - but the sleeping car attendants should collect the passports and the passengers should not be woken up at 3 AM.

Who does not know: the (in)famous Berlin corridor did function precisely the same way. The sleeping car attendants did collect the passports and the scary guys of DDR/BRD checked the passports collected by the attendant first. The passengers were woken up only if there was a suspect of some unusual activity.

If (amazingly) the East German/West German border was organized that way, I have no idea why people who paid for sleeper are woken up on Slovenian-Croatian or Hungarian-Serbian border.

Investing in the infrastructure is a smart move as far as I'm concerned. If done right it should have far higher economic returns greater than the initial loans.

Kosovo-USA, loans are normally provided to countries that have a functioning economy and are deemed able to repay them. In this case Serbia is getting loans from Russia and China to assist with infrastructure projects.

Those entities that do not have functioning economies and are not in a position to repay loans are normally given handouts. So tell me, when is the next donor conference scheduled for "Kosova"?

Where is the money coming from. Over 2000 kg were confiscated while back and now another 492 kg. Forget about that investment, since cocain did not turn into hard cash.

Great news, investment in infrustructure is always a key driver to the improvement of the well being of people and at the end a must.

K-USA,

Leave this forum for discussion and not childish wranglings. Serbia is investing in much needed infrastructure in all sectors to improve the flow of transportation, people, products and information etc. Regarding your daitribe about drugs, some losers got nabbed for pot/cocaine smuggling - big deal! They got busted and they will get their date with justice. That said, its nowhere in comparision to the opium/drug trail many of your fellow compatriots have links with stretching through the other end of the green line - beginning in Afghanistan.
