So there are many countires that support the Netherlands position? What countries? If their policy is so great why not let everyone know? After all, if one has a light he does not hide it under a bushel.
Turk, you speak for no one.

It looks like it is going to take Serbia a lot of time to join the EU than previously expected. Now in the meantime, go find Mladic!

Ups UK, the puppet of USA and the soldiers of fortune (Afghanistan, Iraq etc) care about Mladic.

Arti,
i dont see how hard it is for you to see that Serbs won again. They won against the ottoman tuks, they won against the austrian-hungarian empire, the nazi/ustasa muslim alliance, they all lost.

Serbia after Sebrenica,nobody pushed Nato harder than Serbia itself,no one it's trying to demonize the other it's just the fruit of your harvesting,I don't see how hard is for you to understand that.

and how hard is it for you to understand that this tragedy could have been definitely avoided had the US not given some sort of yellow light and the French would have done what they were supposed to do, send air cover to protect the civilians. (ask monthes in advance by the Dutch..)

Just refer to one of the interview on BBC made by the former dutch FM.

Mladic has to end up where he belongs to but apparently the all truth has not been yet uncovered and it looks like it is not as one sided as we were told to believe for so long!!

Good luck to all the truth seekers..

There could be some truth in Turk's words, but I doubt it.

The way european politics usually functions is that they work in blocs, one country, usually being a major one such as the UK, FR or DE holding out against the majority. The one hold country normally has a gaggle of smaller countries who agree, but publically keep quiet on this support so as not to ruffle political feathers.

In this case though, Holland is a minor EU country with all other major economies, UK, FR, DE, IT supporting Serbia in public. Of course one or two of them could be lying (sorry, practising 'diplomacy') but this is unlikely.

1: Serbia's stability is central to the EU's so called 'Stability Pact' for south east Europe.

2: It is the major trade route to asia (despite the border control incompetence currently practiced that is costing Serbia tens of millions of euros in lost transit fees);

3: It is much less corrupt than its neighbors, something that is very important to the business community and those who want to invest knowing that they will get a return on their money;

4: Its potential absence from european security structures would make a mockery of EU efforts to clean up crime - hence the recent reports of Cooperation with the US and elsewhere that have lead to the high level arrests and breaking up of major criminal networks.

5: A prosperous Serbia means a prosperous Balkans, more importantly the EU won't have to continually give away money to poor performers (i.e. Bulgaria lost over a hundred million euros of structural funds for failing to deal with corruption as promised as part of its accession to the EU deal);

6: EU meddling and manipulation in Serbia has been significant and is the prime reason that Tadic and co. are still in power. Undermining him threatens to unravel all the hard work they've been putting into subverting Serbia's sovereignty and political system to make it 'compatible'. With regards to the albanians in Kosovo, a Tadic government would still be preferable (i.e. to make threats to) than one that actually stands up effectively for its own sovereignty. Better the devil you know

There are probably lots of other points but I've got a date with beer tonight.

Dear Kosova-USA,

Bent forward and I'll whisper a secret to your ears:

It's European politicians and citizens who have been rudely awakened. Today they know better with what kind of people Serbs have been dealing in Kosovo.

And don't get me wrong. This doesn't mean Serbs will be whitewashed. But it means many people regret the simple way they accepted the demonizing of Serbs.

Lol. This man is a fool. So were supposed to ignore the factt aht the last time the EU debated this subject the Belgians dropped their veto and the only once who voted against were the Dutch.

The voting record goes against Turks claims.

He can only be referring to his own administration. But we know why the Slovenians oppose this?

They must be getting anxy about Serbia's Delta wanting to buy Merkator. Something they must have intervened to stop 6 times since 2006.

I think the Slovenians want the shameful situation to continue where Slovenians exploit our market often against the law, but they break EU laws on competition by blocking Serb investments.

And now their PM is saying, oh we agree with Holland once Delta looks like it's planning a 7th takeover attempt.

Does anyone really care what was told by the country who had loudest voice when Serbia was to be sanctioned and afterwards also Nato bombed?

Their only interest is to have ex-Yu trade market to be able to sell their junk goodies.

The only people concerned about this SAA are the EU paid-Serb politicians like Dinkic and his crowd. The average Serbs does not give a hoot about the agreement because it’s meaningless, it’s like all free trade agreements, large nations bleed the smaller ones dry.
These statements are only part of the good cop, bad cop routine – on Monday someone says how well Serbia is doing and should get EU membership soon; By Wednesday another says oh! no! they are not complying blah! Blah! For example, a Check diplomat working for the EU recently made a statement about Serbia not being able to join the EU, well didn’t he get his pants kicked from Prague to Brussels for opening his mouth.
The circus continues on and on. You would think there would be some level of coordination, but there is not

This is ridiculous if 'many' states exist who agree with Holland how come they don't say so for themselves?
They are afraid of Serbia? They need Turk to speak for them?

Or is it Turk and Slovenia that feel this way?

God its a pathetic way to go about doing business...
