Seven percent of those interviewed who have a negative stance on Serbia explain that their knowledge of the wars of the 1990s in the former Yugoslavia shaped their negative opinions of Serbia.

This could be seen as encouraging as I suspect that if those people were allowed to be informed of the real truth from the perspective of both sides of the wars then I suspect, as I did, they would change their opinion of Serbia and of the Serbs as a nation. I took the time to try and inform myself from as many different places as possible and I have visited Serbia now on a number of occasions and my view, that was previously badly distorted by the press and politicians here in the UK, is now much better informed and as a result I know feel that EU would benefit enormously from the inclusion of Serbia. She is, in my opinion, a country of very friendly and very welcoming people and you could do a lot worse than visit them to discover for yourselves.

Serbia will join. the EU cannot afford that "white spot" on their map.

and... inshalla, as our dear albanian friends would say, Serbia will profit of that move - last but not least also in the question of our southern province.

let´s just see what future brings.

little hint for those "experts" in here: Serbia will prevail! ;)

"Seven percent of those interviewed who have a negative stance on Serbia explain that their knowledge of the wars of the 1990s in the former Yugoslavia shaped their negative opinions of Serbia."
That explains 7%, what reason do the rest of them have?

I thought that it would be higher considering that most people watch their 6 o'clock news and think they know it all.
Such is the power of media.

Serbs will stay away from the EU. The quality of life will improve sure, but as history dictates, Serbs have always been aloof and therefore prefer 'no' foreign power: East or West, Brussels or Moscow.

obviously spreading such nonsense makes more sense for the 5th colonne of eusa then the nonsense spread until now, that 75 to 99 % of serbs dream day in and out about eu.

imagine a nation full of mirceas ...

horrible thought ...

of course all of these 75 to 99% of pro-eu-serbs have - when it counts, for example on parliamentary elections - better plans than to elect pro-eu-clowns (probbably they play cards, forget about elections or thicked the "wrong" party in the election cell).

by the kind how this propaganda for stupids is "logical" in itself, you can without a doubt read the anglo-saxon signature behind it ....

Hang on! The survey said: "According to the survey, one-fourth of citizens in Vienna, Brussels, Prague and Berlin have a positive stance regarding Serbia joining the EU."
This means that 3/4 of respondents either have a negative stance about Serbia, or no stance at all - but we can't know from this story. But we can read that some of that 1/4 who have a positive response also say the E.U. shouldn't expand any further.
Maybe it's time that we start talking more openly and concretely about life outside the EU, and how to make it as pleasant as possible, instead of chasing this dream.

Interesting survey, no doubts. I am just always wandering how our media manage not to quote based on the principles of the quantity scientific research…
What is about the other three-quarter of questioned people? What relevance has this study without name, authors, methods & especially without the number of questioned people?

Orthodox Serbia spells problem for the €U (Germany) and always has.

They can impose a puppet regime and anti-serbian IMF "reforms" but they can´t destroy serbia altogether. If they anschluss us into €USSR that will be the end of their super state and they know it...
