I see so many people bragging about Serbia signing the SAA…. Whatever bros, Albania is already in NATO and is already an EU CANDIDATE COUNTRY!!! Croatia is going to be a member soon and Croatia will VETO any Serbian candidacy, as will the UK, FRANCE, GERMANY and THE NETHERLANDS until Mladic is in and until Serbia RECOGNIZES AN INDEPENDENT KOSOVO. If you really want integration you need to accept recognition.

So you mean that the Albanian's savior (the USA) has made a DEAL with BIN LADEN? Interesting. Possible? Absolutely. I just never thought an Albanian would say that.

We albanians are not all the same, thanks God. I'm surprised that someone has doubts on this. THe USA are our best friends, but that doesn't mean that you always have to agree with them.To a true friend you have to be sincere If you're a real friend. If not you're a hypocrit and not a good friend but just an opportunist.I'm not of that kind. The americans themselfs disagree on different issues. This is DEMOCRACY.You have a very totalitarian opinion of this world,i suppose.

Mladic is sick and will die as a free man in his bed.
Because of him Serbs in Bosnia achieved their goal.
The notion of the EU pressuring us is laughable,Serbia now is in a very different position with Russia becoming stronger and stronger.
Believe me,it will only be a matter of time when Kosovo will be traded by the US for another "Kosovo" with Russia, look for example at Taiwan.

So Vukcevic thinks he is in Serbia but Brammertz says he is out of Serbia's securities reach.
Does this mean Serbia doesn't have access to all of its territory?
Maybe he is in Kosovo/a and if so why wouldn't Serbia ask KPS to help. Now if he is in Northern Kosovo/a that wouldn't be good for anybody...
P.S. Didn't Vukcevic already admit that Mladic was hiding in Serbia's army bases until 2002 or am I wrong?

How can they say that?! Is Mladic on this planet or not?? There is no place in this earth that can be out of reach of these agencies. Maybe Mladic has find another planet to hide or he has became invisible.Come on Serbia be seriuos. I don't know but it seems that a secret agreement has been made. thank you, hazel, for bringing some sanity here.

ok, here we go again... we're in touch w people in the balkans, in serbia, and it is CLEAR (to them, to us) that there does not exist the political will to arrest much less extradite mladic. this is well known and hardly bears repeating. and the same, by no coincidence, goes for the "intl community" -- there is no political will to force the bldg regime to do what they must do. there is just brave little holland (so far) and isolated human rights and victim's rights groups, and individuals such as biserko and company, and "outsiders" such as myself and my colleagues. but in terms of govt pressure it does not exist -- all carrots, no sticks. BIG mistake w these people.

those who directly protect mladic are well known, and where that line goes is well known. you can censor me 1,000 times, print every personal attack known to humankind, and it won't change a thing.

and if someone over there does not believe me, let's have a nice public debate here btwn, say, biserko and dacic, or biserko and ANYone else. we shall see what comes up. i am quite serious.

so the point is NOT what are the the very exact coordinates where "alleged" mass murderer mladic now stands and sleeps. that is a circus game, the usual obscuration.

the point is that all "search" is utterly passive, and will remain so for many years to come. if we allow it to. and many are happy about that -- okay, fine, you like him and all that he stands for. just be honest about it.

Serbia is a state that is protecting war criminals from facing justice pure and simple. We all saw the videos of Mladic attending weddings and living in his nice apartment in Belgrade with full knowledge of Serbian security institutions of where he was, after all they were the ones protecting him. It's a disgrace.

I stand by my original statement from way back. He is either having vodka with Medvedev or Putin or having tea and scones with the Queen.

Perhaps they should tell Medvedev they can't get into EU before they hand him over.

All you people who think this has anything at all to do with Kosovo, or that nationalist Albanians are upset about Mladic still being free, are crazy. Kosovar Albanians couldn't give a damn about Mladic.

To the contrary, those who dislike Serbia celebrate his freedom. They like the fact that Mladic, and people like him, helped made Serbia smaller and weaker, and strengthened the cause for Kosovo's independence by his acts.

He even insured that Serbian-speaking Muslims in Bosnia would never be able to accept a common state with Serbia. This was quite a feat.

Let me remind you that the Muslims of Sandzak are and have been faithful to Serbs - of Muslim faith. Bosnia might have been part of that unity.

Mladic was the greatest traitor imaginable to the great Serbian ideal, which was best represented by Patriarch Pavle.

I myself might be of the opinion that our friends Olf and Kosova-USA are conspirators and are the ones that are harboring Mladic. Maybe these two experts should be sent to Hague to reveal the whereabouts of this man. Perhaps they are worried that there might be some sort of retribution. I say do it for all the children. It's ok. You will be remembered as honorable people, finally telling us where he is, finally bringing him to the courts.
Or perhaps, is it that Olf and Kosova-USA prefer this man still at large. While he's still out there then maybe, just maybe they can continue using this man for their own self serving purposes. Yes, it might be true that they in fact know, and just as true that they in fact are his caretakers. Stranger things have happened, and they seem to be implying that they are in charge and are in the know.
Just a thought...
I’ve changed my mind. I’m as sure as they are that he’s with them; all three of them together in their nice cozy nook by the fire.
Does this sound ridiculous, Olf or Kosova-USA?

Mladic is out of reach for the Serbian Government just as Bin Laden is out of reach to the USA Government.

I would like to take this opportunity just to say to all the Albanians on this forum, “I TOLD YOU SO!” a few weeks back I promised I would say that when Serbia finally get a favorable report regarding their efforts on finding Mladic but most Albanians felt this day would never come, and I again I say: , “I TOLD YOU SO”

How would everyone know? If he is hiding out somewhere, he could be dead without anyone knowing. Furthermore, maybe they don't want to report it to drive all these speculators crazy.

Besides, he is not a young guy so it is not beyond the realm of possibility he is alive... we are not talking about a 30-something year old guy.

Oaf, this is no help at all. The ICTY never believed that Karadzic was in Serbia - he was supposed to be flitting between BiH and Montenegro - and has never accused the Serbian state of harbouring him. Therefore a completely pointless reference.

This is rather comical - Brammertz, with all the resources of the famously pro-Serb ICTY at his disposal, thinks that Mladic's whereabouts are unknown. Thank God we have Oaf and the ubiquitous Kosova-USA to set him straight.

Sorry, Serbia-haters: this means the SAA is back on. You just carry on sitting there in the dark.

Zoran

pre 14 godina

Personally, this sounds like the ideal position for Serbia.

We are getting Visa free travel and the free trade agreement while anything further will infringe on our sovereignty or otherwise do us no good.

So Mladic is helping Serbia in this instance. We don't need anything more than what is being offered. Mladic is probably having tea with the Milosevic's (and Markovic's) in Russia as we speak.

Olf, lets see proof of this accusation. If this government was prepared to hand over Karadžić then why not Mladić?

He even insured that Serbian-speaking Muslims in Bosnia would never be able to accept a common state with Serbia. This was quite a feat.

Let me remind you that the Muslims of Sandzak are and have been faithful to Serbs - of Muslim faith. Bosnia might have been part of that unity.

Mladic was the greatest traitor imaginable to the great Serbian ideal, which was best represented by Patriarch Pavle.

Serbia is a state that is protecting war criminals from facing justice pure and simple. We all saw the videos of Mladic attending weddings and living in his nice apartment in Belgrade with full knowledge of Serbian security institutions of where he was, after all they were the ones protecting him. It's a disgrace.

Zoran

Personally, this sounds like the ideal position for Serbia.

We are getting Visa free travel and the free trade agreement while anything further will infringe on our sovereignty or otherwise do us no good.

So Mladic is helping Serbia in this instance. We don't need anything more than what is being offered. Mladic is probably having tea with the Milosevic's (and Markovic's) in Russia as we speak.

Olf, lets see proof of this accusation. If this government was prepared to hand over Karadžić then why not Mladić?

Real Canadian

So Vukcevic thinks he is in Serbia but Brammertz says he is out of Serbia's securities reach.
Does this mean Serbia doesn't have access to all of its territory?
Maybe he is in Kosovo/a and if so why wouldn't Serbia ask KPS to help. Now if he is in Northern Kosovo/a that wouldn't be good for anybody...
P.S. Didn't Vukcevic already admit that Mladic was hiding in Serbia's army bases until 2002 or am I wrong?

They are protecting him, how can he be out of their reach?
This a public secret for gods sake.
(Olf, 19 November 2009 10:48)

How would you know, oh omniscient one? There are enough pro-Western types in Serbia that would sell their own souls to the devil for EU status, so I doubt they know where he is.

He could be dead by now and you all look so foolish running around screming "He is being protected by Belgrade!"

Jason

pre 14 godina

You have been watching to many hollywood movies.People staging their own death so they can never be found. Is that is what you are implying.
If he was dead ,rest assured that everybody would have known by now.
(Kosova-USA, 19 November 2009 14:08)

How would everyone know? If he is hiding out somewhere, he could be dead without anyone knowing. Furthermore, maybe they don't want to report it to drive all these speculators crazy.

Besides, he is not a young guy so it is not beyond the realm of possibility he is alive... we are not talking about a 30-something year old guy.

- and for the record, I much prefer French and Spanish cinema than American. Give me Almodovar any day over Stone.

Well guys, please, share your infinite wisdom with those who are searching for him. If it is, as you suggest, a public secret then why dont you just tell them where he is and finish this once and for all?
Failing that, why dont you stick to making comments of a slightly more realistic and pragmatic nature. Thanks.

How can they say that?! Is Mladic on this planet or not?? There is no place in this earth that can be out of reach of these agencies. Maybe Mladic has find another planet to hide or he has became invisible.Come on Serbia be seriuos. I don't know but it seems that a secret agreement has been made. Otherwise one cannot buy this kind of attitude.

So you mean that the Albanian's savior (the USA) has made a DEAL with BIN LADEN? Interesting. Possible? Absolutely. I just never thought an Albanian would say that.
(Jason, 20 November 2009 08:17

We albanians are not all the same, thanks God. I'm surprised that someone has doubts on this. THe USA are our best friends, but that doesn't mean that you always have to agree with them.To a true friend you have to be sincere If you're a real friend. If not you're a hypocrit and not a good friend but just an opportunist.I'm not of that kind. The americans themselfs disagree on different issues. This is DEMOCRACY.You have a very totalitarian opinion of this world,i suppose.

Oaf, this is no help at all. The ICTY never believed that Karadzic was in Serbia - he was supposed to be flitting between BiH and Montenegro - and has never accused the Serbian state of harbouring him. Therefore a completely pointless reference.

I think we should remove Brammertz of his position as persecutor and hire that great hell-hound called Olf. He will locate Ratko in 5 minutes.

We all really understand your enormous frustration, but as I said, you'll save money in black candles, and maybe you should team up with kosovo-usa to find him and release us all from your baseless comments!

Mr Rae

pre 14 godina

(The Swiss, 19 November 2009 10:37)

I stand by my original statement from way back. He is either having vodka with Medvedev or Putin or having tea and scones with the Queen.

Perhaps they should tell Medvedev they can't get into EU before they hand him over.
