Peggy, thank you for exposing the vast array of lies and wishful thinking that Arta and her cronies write here every day. It was a great way to start my day:)

My friend EA,

Isn't this the proof that Kosovo 'government' is not ruling the region of Kosovo, but UNMIK/EULEX is.

I think on this we can agree: still the local population is not in control...

Maybe being a highly autonomous part of Serbia isn't so bad.
What is the alternative: being an UN/EU ruled pseudo-state?

This Kosovo disaster only has losers....

100% with you on that, just a little minor difference, the number 1244, it makes a HUGH difference in sticking to it or wishing to stick to it..

EA,

How about the Kosovo Albanians who have Serbian passports? Are they allowed into "Kosova" when they have a "Kosova "passport"" or not? I think that the temporary provincial Kosovo Albanian "government" has a ceremonial role, similar to the Serbian government (at least for the time being). Thaci and co are allowed to yell something that sounds important once in a while, but then your colonial masters will decide when he goes too far and when it is time to be very quiet. It is all internal pre-election consumption and now the daily reality has started again. Just be aware that the future will bring many more unexpected and unpleasant surprises. Also hold on to your "Kosova "passport"" for it will become a relic soon.

"Passports needed" said Mr. Hash before the election. The decision has died on the day of pre-election silence that's why we hear about it after the votes have been counted. Oh, Thachi, Thachi - that passport thing was cheaper than the cheapest sailor's promise. By the way, between us girls, how many votes did you get based on your "strong message" (you know, that stuff like passports, special IDs, no Serbian products in "Kosova") that you send to those nasty Serbs? To your credit, not that you didn't send a fair warning to your voters long time ago - I am referring to your earlier promise "Russia will recognize "Kosova" very soon".So it's their problem if they didn't listen. And that's your proverbial "reality on the ground".

Here are some responses to the article saying that passports will be needed to enter Kosovo.

"As soon as ambasadors are exchanged they will be treated differently. With Serbia, in December the customs will be placed North, a total ban on Serbian products and passports. Tit for tat!"
(arTa, 14 November 2009 17:52)

Didn't turn out that way.

No point punishing innocent Serbs for the bully tactics of his/her government.

Government of Kosovo is showing it's good will which slowly is gaining the hearts of all. The elections on 15 Nov can attest to this matter.

Could they make everyone use passports in the future? It seems like a grey area to me at the moment. Until there is a definitive answer from the ICJ both sides wll be claiming that they are in the right, i.e Kosovo belongs to Serbia + Kosovo is independent depending on your point of view.

Either way I'm sure most would agree that Kosovo is still a UN protectorate even if the Albanians are trying to create institutions. that being the case, does the UN have the right to make "foreign citizens" use a passport for entry into kosovo, that's the real question I want to ask.

And why Montenegro as well? Is this to make it look like they aren't acknowledging the fact that UNSCR 1244 exists and reaffirms Serbia's sovereignty over Kosovo, because that how it looks to me.

MikeC

As a Serb it must be conforting to know that you don't need a passport to enter your own homeland. Gee, thanks a lot Thaci and co! What's the next bright idea? Albanians will probably swich locks on the home of every non-albanian in Kosovo and let them get the key back only to show interested albanian byers what they can get for a couple of hundred dollars.
