300 swine flu cases, 11 dead

300 cases of swine flu have been reported in Serbia to date, while 11 people died of the consequences of the disease.

That's a very high number of deaths in comparison to the amount of cases recorded.

In London now it is very common for people (especially children) to be diagnosed with swine flu even if they only have some of the symptoms. Non-medical people ask a number of set questions over the phone and then decide if you qualify as having swine flu and are therefore entitled to the 'ant-viral' Tamiflu (which itself has some nasty side-effects).

People have stopped worrying so much about getting it - but the high number of 'recorded' cases have made people a bit complacent I think.
