As an Italian, working and living in Serbia since quite some time I apologize about the behavior of my country's PM. Shameful to say the least his behaviour and his tedious attempt to be ironic. No major surprise for us. Please, Serbia help my country reaching some decent standards. if not of democracy, at least of good sense of humour...

Theoretically the plan may have prospects. But the implementation will depend on too many factors including good will and the economic crisis developments.
Apparently the candidates will be offered some restricted membership.

and afterwards they visit one of those famous partys of berlusca ???

During a press meeting with Tadic Berlusconi calls him President Kluni and later insults Tadic's Serbian Language as "not beautiful". Meanwhile he braggs on how melodious Italian language is. He said other stupid jokes in addition.

Why would Tadic take the insults from Berlusconi? Was it a financial reason, political reason or just diplomatic inability to respond to the "jokes". I'm sure Kostunica would make Berlusconi feel just what he is: a dumb rich no-sense-of-humor Italian.

They say the joke is half the truth.

serbia is asking italy for help????i though they dint like italy becouse kosovo issue.looks like tadic is traped and cant move with out EU countries support.

If I were Serbia I would not want to deal with countries that bombed you and recognised Kosovo.

No economic/political coopration, no embasies, no visa, no EU, no NATO, no PfP...

Ops I forgot that you dont want ISOLATION,... and consequently will swollow any pill that Westerners give you...

Well with this I cannot agree.By 2050 there will be neither EU nor Albania.Do not forget that by that time we will use alternative energy resources .No more need to protect the routes of energy resources coming from east.Uncle Sam will go home ,deregulation will begin.

2014? If EU wants more Bulgaria and Romania on board. What incentive do countries have to do what's required if they know they will get in in 2014 anyway?

Croatia is the only country in the Western Balkans that has a chance to join the EU before 2014.

The rest of the Western Balkan countries will not be prepared to join the EU by 2014.

Why, dear B92, are you hosting some poor anti-Italian words as the one from the communist evol who insults the Italian institutions and the Italian people? Maybe evol prefers the Dalema's Italian government to the one leaded by Silvio Berlusconi, even if Mr. Dalema is the one that bombed Belgrade in 1999 killing many innocent serbian people, including women and children.
