"if they want to live in Kosovo"
I couldn't have said it better, but slightly agressive. Kosovo Albanians want to live in peace again, but that doesn't mean they want to forgive and forget. Therefore, if the Serbs try to cause only trouble and don't want to vote or contribute in any way for the state of Kosovo, then they are more then wellcome to evaporate. Nobody will miss them.

Well, Kosovo Serbs live in the STATE OF SERBIA.

Let the Albanians take part in Serbian elections. Please!

Serbs should send out their own lobbyists. For this situation only Gavrilovich comes to mind.He has not failed us yet with the foreigners.

"why do we care so much about the k-serbs? if they want to vote OK if not get the hell out of kosovo and go and live in slums in serbia like other 150-200k non-albanians since 1999
(dan-ch, 11 November 2009 23:22)"

The 150-200k non-Albanians you referred to indeed got out of hell. The only reason they left was because they were forced to leave, not because they did not want to vote (they had no vote). We know you do not care about Kosovo Serbs or other non-Albanians. When you mention the slums in Serbia I would like to suggest you to take a look at the slums and ghettos in "Kosova". You are just a very intolerant person.

"Peggy,

I have no issue with those Serbs not willing to vote. The issue stays for those Serbs who blame the Albanians for they everyday life.
(EA, 11 November 2009 21:11)"

So how about the Albanians blaming the Serbs for everything in their everyday lives? When the Albanians boycotted everything in Yugoslavia nobody urged them to vote and they were completely responsible for their own actions and own lives.

I like her comment. Vote or leave for Serbia.

Kosovo citizens should vote in Kosovo. If they dont like Kosovo they should leave for Serbia then. Its is good that Serbs have the alternative where they can go and live.

They already live in Kosovo, and it's part of Serbia. Can you imagine if the rule of territorial integrity was bastardized in reference to France, Germany or UK for example. Can you imagine if Serbia was to threaten Bavarian Citizens with this same rheotoric? Joke.

The world recently celebrated the fall of communism and the Berlin Wall, and this is lesson learned. Germany celebrates unity, while preaching dismemeberment of another.

PRIŠTINA -- Kosovo Serbs should vote in the local elections "if they want to live in Kosovo", European Parliament member Doris Pack was quoted as saying today.

Or what? They should leave?

Is this what you tell your German citizens? Vote or get the hell out of my country.

Why should they vote for a thug like Thaci who murdered their families (most likely with his own hands too)?

Why should they vote for theft of their country? Get real Peck.

I don't expect K-Serbs to vote. Frankly i don't care if they do or not. For right now I would like my gov to live them alone and accomodate them as much as possible. I think K-Alb must isolate the conflict in north and focus on economic development.

If economy improves K-serbs will vote and will participate, Kosovo will have the means to build a modern army to protect itself, which will make Serbian claims practically impossible.

A stronger economy means a stronger state and K-Serbs will participate either for interest or from fear of another conflict of which they will be the first to suffer dearly cause will be in the middle of it.

"But Pack urged "all Kosovo Serbs" to "cooperate" with the institutions in Kosovo.

“It is very important that these elections are peaceful and that they are carried out in accordance with democratic rules. It is important for Kosovo Serbs to vote because they are equal citizens of Kosovo. If they want to live in Kosovo and if they are thinking about their future and future of their children, Serbs should vote in the elections,” she was quoted as telling Radio Kosovo."

This woman always seems to amaze me. The Kosovo Serbs have also not accepted the illegal UDI and so they live in Serbia, period. So if Kosovo Serbs do not vote they should be etnically cleansed as a punishment? I would like to remind Doris Pack that the voting turnout in the recent German elections was 70.8%. Does this mean that the 29.2% of the voters do not want to live in Germany and that they should be asked to leave? The problem is that Kosovo Serbs and other minorities are NOT equal people in Kosovo (I delibrately avoided calling them citizens for Kosovo is not a country). In addition, I am sure that many Kosovo Albanians will also not vote because the KLA-run provincial government only looks after its own (business) interest. The West only wants to use the Kosovo Serbs' coorporation to hide its failed project called "Kosova". I am afraid that this limbo situation will continue for a while and it will be the regular people, who do not want to have anything done with politics, who will suffer as usual.
