Iam repeating the comment that i posted earlier and for some reason it didn't appear.

I have nothing against either the North or South Korean people but iam against any kind of dictatorship.

The UN report prepared by Mr
Muntarbhorn, a Thai professor who has investigated North Korea for nearly six years but never been allowed entry, clearly states:
"At least a third of the population are in the hunger situation out of the projected 24 million population"
And continues
"The freedoms from want, from fear, from discrimination, from persecution and from torture are regrettably transgressed with impunity by those authorities, in an astonishing setting of abuse after abuse,"

Do you expect me to support this North Korean despicable
regime?

"Occupied? The South Koreans aren't complaining so why are you? I am sure they aren't rushing to become prosperous and developed like the North Koreans

The S Korean people aren't complaining? Are you so sure? Then how do you explain petitions like this? http://www.petitiononline.com/60korea/petition.html

For your info, most of such petitions are in the Korean language and that's why you (and conveniently the Yankees themselves) don't get to read them.

As for S Korean prosperity, it came about as a result of their hardwork and industriousness. Their movies and television dramas and foodstuff for example, have a huge following in big markets like Japan, China and the ASEAN countries. And they, like others, were hard hit recently by those infamous junk derivatives from the US.

Leonida,

while at times you try to be critic on the new world order, this time you sound like a genuine US representative while talking informally to his wife...

Do you have any personal interests in Northern Korean?

Your writing reminds me of those experts about Yugoslavia 10 years ago, while they could not locate Yugoslavia on the map.

I know from 1st hand, that South Koreans are a wonderful people, and i have no doubts that the same holds for Northern Koreans as well.

The incident comes days before US President Barack Obama visits Asia, with North Korea seeking direct talks on its nuclear programme.

So, the cycle starts again. The North Koreans really have no intention of giving up their nuclear weapons programmes.

The only reason they are prepared for talks is the fact their impoverished population has reached the point of starvation.

The only game which seems to play into their brinksmanship, is give as little ground as possible, and wait for leadership change. I'd say wait for them to starve, but only the innocent people would starve not the ruling classes.

You are not surprised? Well, neither am I. The US had been militarily occupying SKorea for over 50 years now. And obviously had no intention of withdrawing.
