"Please no more serb tourists to Croatia." is that the 300,000 tourists that were ethnically cleansed from Krajina?

As Montenegro goes, how can Serbia be your closest ally? You don't respect Serbias borders, go make the so called government of Kosovo your closest ally now, and when the time comes crawl back to Serbia.

Kosovo is Serbia

No more Croatian tourists in Serbia either, we don't want you at OUR BEST FESTIVAL IN EUROPE. We don't want you in Belgrade and our national parks either.

With your disgusting xenophobic attitude you are only hurting Croatia's image.

After recognition of illegal independence of Kosovo by Montenegro, montenegrin authorities should leave Serbia alone. They have new allies.

Serbia should be Montenegro's closes ally in the region?
Why?
To me, you are just another neighbouring country, not the closes one at that.
How about Romania, they didn't even recognize Kosovo?

As for Montenegro, I don't see why we are paying as much attention to it as we do now.
Why are we buying Port of Bar when only 20% of our import-export goes through there?
And why are we planning to buid highway to Montenegro?
It's hard to see what is our benefit.

Lenerd,

The Serb tourists you are referring to in your calculatuion are mainly the following:

i) Former Croatian nationals of Serb ethnicity visiting family
ii)Former Croatian nationals of Serb ethnicity doing paperwork, documentation. seeking compensation, land claims etc. (you things left over from the expulsions of '95...)

iii)Serb nationals using the motorways to go to other third destinations ie. Republika Srpska, EU countries etc.

iv) Actual tourists are much fewer and smaller in the percentage range...maybe 5% tops.

CG, I agree with you. I know that Montenegrins are Serbs. Just read what Njegos said and all will be clear but you have to do more than declare you are Serbs.

You have to vote that Djukanovic out of office. He won again in the last election. How? Who voted for him?
People have to turn against him if they truly feel they are Serbian and then relationship between Serbia and Montenegro can improve.

By the same token, Serbs in Serbia have to vote against Tadic too. While these two rule Serbs will remain divided.

bulatovic what kind of nonsense are you talking about?

The vast majority of Montenegrins (like myself) go to the Serbian Orthodox Church and self identify as speaking Serbian.

B92, I am greatly offened that someone would tell Montenegrins what ethnicity we are when clearly from numerous polls the Montenegrin people overwhelmingly self identify as being related to Serbians. How can you post such insults?

bulatovic

The more Serb nationalists would deny the right of Montenegrins to a Montenegrin identity, the more the latter will be strengthened and distanced from the Serb identity. This is just elementary political psychology.

Thirty per cent of nothing is nothing so you can link as much as you like. My God you waffle on about this magic land of tourism heaven called Croatia.

Your Croatia is financially and economically bankrupt. Your government is in the process of having ‘fire’ sales to fill the holes in the budget. The IMF refuses to lend a cent and the EU has in no certain terms told them no more money for your budget deficits so sell everything. However, you might be lucky and just maybe Serbia might buy some land from your country.

“Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Svetozar Marović said that Serbia should be Montenegro's closest ally in the region.”

If memory serves me correct the Montenegrins openly stated that they wanted to break away from Serbia because it was being held back both economically and culturally. Well what has happened now? Money run out and need a bone or two thrown in their direction? or are they beginning to miss all the perks Montenegrins had in the old Yugo?

Just like Ireland, Baltic states and some others, Montenegro relied on selling real estate as a major source of income. Now that’s all gone they sitting with all the other newly created states on the bankruptcy benches waiting liquidation sales.

Now we have Mr Marović saying Serbia and Montenegro should be close. No thanks on my part, they chose the path to prosperity and now they should live with it.

Yes Lenard, I do visit Croatia quite often. It has a nice motorway from Belgrade to Zagreb but I don't go that far. It is the quickest route to Banja Luka by car and we don't even need to spend a dinar. It is used often by Serbians to get to Republika Srpska so I suspect you may be counting these people as tourists?

Lenard, I send a special thanks to the Croatian people for allowing us to use your motorway free of charge. If you want to count us as tourists even though we don't spend a dinar then be my guest.

Natural, but Montenegrins elites do not have this view.

They do what is in their interest. Djuaknovic for power and avoiding arrest, Marovic for power.

Djuaknovic pushed independence because he feared going to jail during the union for treason and other charges and no guarantees of immunity.

Marovic. Well he and the group of people around him bought coastal land really cheap, prices went up greatly post-independence he earned millions (one report indicates him almost as wealthy as Djukanovic's brother).

Recognition was used to get the EU to approve SAA and relevant documents in a matter not usually udnertaken. And right before elections Djuaknovic was looking to lose.

Chances are the elites will de-recognize Kosovo to cause pressure on the EU to once again allow Djuaknvoic to do something untoleratable.

After recognition of illegal independence of Kosovo by Montenegro, montenegrin authorities should leave Serbia alone. They have new allies.
