Unless someone is coughing or sneezing directly in your face or direction within 3 feet the mask will provide no protection.
Good handwashing and common sense are the tools to fight the flu. It would be better to supply with hand sanitziers and Kleenex boxes.

This is utter nonsense and bordering on hysteria! The common Flu kills more people every year than the Swine Flu (H1-N1 virus) and yet we before the outbreak of Swine Flu we didn’t masquerade like idiots with masks on every flu season. Maxi is being counterproductive and just fueling this useless hysteria.

Hard to tell really as we haven't had a full winter of this yet. But the real cause for worry is that this flu is 4X more easily contracted. Not sure about you, but I don't want to get sick. If someone has it where I work, I don't want to work with them as I have a great chance of being sick then.
