"Vojvodina state within state"

Opposition DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenović assessed on Friday that with its bill on powers and statute, Vojvodina was becoming a “state within a state”.

You forgot Republika Srpska and Serbia! Same nation as well! I assume you missed this fact by purpose.

I don't expect from you and your fellows Kosovo Albanians any different opinion but you need to accept some reality. You see Vojvodina is not going anywhere and has nothing in common with Kosovo. It's even insult for intellect to compare Vojvodina to Kosovo.

"Vojvodina is predominant Serbian region and cannot be independent."

Same people and same culture
Belarus and Russia
Ukraine and Russia
Greece and Turks
Serbia and Montengro
Bulgaria and FYROM

It has started

Vojvodina will never secede. It has no reason to, nor would the majority want it. Do people actually think about how hard it is to start your own, small country, one that a large majority don't want??

Kosovo independency has nothing to do with Serbian centralism but with Albanian nationalism and idea of greater Albania which is still alive supported by interests of USA and its satelites in Europe.

This is correct. But with all the good and bad these countries have they were spared the "Democratic Centralism".

What did "Democratic Centralism" destroy?

- Soviet Union
- Czechoslovakia
- Yugoslavia
- Georgia (as whole)
- Moldavia

And so on. All of them "magically" influenced by "Democratic Centralism".

Why is that?

Because that evil thing ( = "Democratic Centralism") does have the element of destruction within itself: it automatically leads to mafia-like structures and what happens if mafiosi quarrel? At best, peaceful division of spheres of influence. At worst: see YU, Caucasus.

In any post-Socialist country where any kind of partition was a possibility: it did happen. The only exception was Germany - but there the fat cats made it damn sure to not just largely survive, but even more... See Merkel.

-------

To Team Albania: precisely the above reason is the reason why Kosovo won't become a part of Albania for a while. "Their" fat cats and "your" fat cats are only as long friends as their interests do not cross.

And Belarus won't become part of Russia till they have the old guard in charge: why on Earth someone who is the head of Mafia would volunteer to give up his position and become potentially a food for fishes?

Because that's the fate of ex-bosses under Democratic Centralism....

Vojvodina is predominant Serbian region and cannot be independent. Do you understand that? There are better odds for Bosnia-Herzegovina to fall apart than Vojvodina to get something more than pure cosmetic change of the ordinance.

No reason it has been thought that focusing on a dead cause puts aside efforts for doing something worth it for a living one.

Serbia has been focusing on Kosovo and trying to stop its recognitions, while now its losing another part of its territory, which in reality is its.

Kosovo independence is not the end of break-out in former Yugoslavia, it will be Vojvodina's independence.

Truth shall win.

How can constitution be changed without will of the people?

If Tadic wins at next elections, Serbian people deserve all they get from now on. Either they are stupid or a bunch of sellouts.
Etiher way they don't deserve support from diaspora or anyone esle.

Glad to see the DSS are capable of taking small but steady steps towards grasping the concepts of autonomy and federalism: Yes, that means there is a state -or states- within a state.
Like in the US.
And Australia.
And Switzerland.
And Germany.
Even Spain, in a way...
And lo and behold, these countries haven't all disintegrated, whereas Serbia's centralist policians have so far not failed to create exactly the kind of separatism anywhere from Slovenia to Kosovo and Montenegro that they claim to be scared of.
This time it's Vojvodina. No threat of secession there but who knows where this nationalist campaign of creating internal enemies will end...
