Even if they live in Vojvodina they still will pay taxes to Serbia. There are taxes that are mandatory for all Serbian citizens no matter in what part of the country they live.
I must dissapoint fellows from Kosovo that even 75% of total population of Vojvodina autonomous province are Serbs and believe me they don't want any indenpendence( I used to live there and I know) let alone "freedom". By the way freedom from what or from who? From Serbs? Serbs are majority in Vojvodina just like accross Danube and Sava.

1. According to the draft, Vojvodina will have the right to establish an office in Brussels but will be able to sign only regional, not international contracts. This seems more of creating an economic zone with Hungary and Romania, not an alternative political center as some seem to think.
2. The Vojvodina assembly cannot draft its own legislature, but can implement legislation originating in Belgrade to its own interests. In other words, it’s a follower to Belgrade, not a rival
3. The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians are not happy with the compromised outcome, but have said they will support it because it's better than nothing, and they do not want to be seen as the group that stymies progress in Vojvodina
4. Canak and LSV hate it, meaning his initial proposals have been watered down.
5. It is being pushed by For a European Vojvodina, an offshoot of Tadic's ZES, so it's effectively being driven by Belgrade, not Novi Sad. As such, the much debated set of ammendments are now being presented to Vojvodina as a "take it or leave it" offer. It gives the province more powers than it previously had, but stops full short of the supposed "independence" a number of ignorant troglodytes here seem to think it does.
In all likelihood, should this pass, I can see Belgrade pursuing similar strategies for the 6 Serb municipalities in Kosovo.

Some weeks ago I was in Belgrade and compared the prices of sunflower oil,eggs,flower,sugar and...with the one here in Holland, where I live at the moment, and the prices in Serbia are 50 to 100% higher then in The Netherlands. Here it is how Vojvodina makes its money: monopoly and ripping off rest of the Serbia on the food prices.

It dosn't work in Great Britain, where the Scots have a parliament of their own while the English do not. Because the Scots are also represented in the Westminster parliament thus influencing decisions, imposition of taxes, yet in some matters the majority of Britains can't affect their local decisions. The same will happen in Serbia. This way the dwelers outside Vojvodina are reduced to a second class citizens.

This is a solution for Kosovo as well. It will be offered after the ICJ ruling. I think the albs should accept it. If they don't the province will be partitioned and the albanians will continue to be undeveloped and live in poverty. After that, what remains of Kosovo can be joined with albania and become Greater Talialbania. It would become Europes own Guantanamo.
Who can blame people in Vojvodina for wanting to keep most of their money. In southern Serbia we have Sandak and Presevo. Two areas dominated by unemployed and poor muslims that are hostile to everything non-muslim. You want to send them your hard earned money? They open albanian schools in Presevo even thought we live in Serbia. You want your money to go to that?
The 5% Serb population in Kosovo is making a lot of noice and thanks to them Kosovo is not independent. You actually think the 1.7 million Serbs in Vojvodina would allow it to become independent and seperated from the rest of Serbia? Never!
Serbs regardless of where they live identify themselves as Serbs belongning to the Serbian nation. Serbs in Vojvodina can never be anything else than Serbs. Serbs in Vojvodina also know that they are safer together with Serbia than they would be with the other minorities in an independent Vojvodina.
This is the bill for ordering "Kosovo is Serbia", more than autonomy, less than independence. How do you expect such a asymetrical federation to work? It dosn't work in Great Britain, where the Scots have a parliament of their own while the English do not. Because the Scots are also represented in the Westminster parliament thus influencing decisions, imposition of taxes, yet in some matters the majority of Britains can't affect their local decisions. The same will happen in Serbia. This way the dwelers outside Vojvodina are reduced to a second class citizens.

And BTW, let me help you out, even if Vojvodina is having highest GDP in Serbia that is because it has monopoly of selling, to the rest of the Serbia, their agricultural products with the higher prices then anywhere rest in the Europe.
Some weeks ago I was in Belgrade and compared the prices of sunflower oil,eggs,flower,sugar and...with the one here in Holland, where I live at the moment, and the prices in Serbia are 50 to 100% higher then in The Netherlands. Here it is how Vojvodina makes its money: monopoly and ripping off rest of the Serbia on the food prices.

Wrong! You know why? Because "Kosovo is a special case". Serbs never agreed to an independent Kosovo and therefore can't be forced to live in an independent Kosovo. CAN'T BE FORCED TO LIVE WITH ALBANIANS!!! The West is realizing its misstake and will accept the facts on the ground. You can threaten with Sandak etc but you should also be prepared to loose Northern Epirus which belongs to Greece but is occupied by Albania. Bedides, when did Sandak ever ask for even autonomy? When? They are happy living in Serbia!

The majority of the populace in Vojvodina voted for anti-autonomist/seperatist parties.
Canak obtained less then 10%. If this government had a spine they wouldn't support this man. But naturally most fo the parties in the government fear elections and thus give into demands of small parties like SPS, LSV and so on.
Aint it the truth dean. personally i dont pay attention. its just piece in the puzzle. cooperating, kosovo, vojvodina, south, sandzak.. they and we know who they are squeeze to keep serbia in grip but this will break sooner rather than later. It doesnt work like that in this nation.
Hmmm, let's take a look at what this amendment provides:
1. According to the draft, Vojvodina will have the right to establish an office in Brussels but will be able to sign only regional, not international contracts. This seems more of creating an economic zone with Hungary and Romania, not an alternative political center as some seem to think.
2. The Vojvodina assembly cannot draft its own legislature, but can implement legislation originating in Belgrade to its own interests. In other words, it’s a follower to Belgrade, not a rival
3. The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians are not happy with the compromised outcome, but have said they will support it because it's better than nothing, and they do not want to be seen as the group that stymies progress in Vojvodina
4. Canak and LSV hate it, meaning his initial proposals have been watered down.
5. It is being pushed by For a European Vojvodina, an offshoot of Tadic's ZES, so it's effectively being driven by Belgrade, not Novi Sad. As such, the much debated set of ammendments are now being presented to Vojvodina as a "take it or leave it" offer. It gives the province more powers than it previously had, but stops full short of the supposed "independence" a number of ignorant troglodytes here seem to think it does.
In all likelihood, should this pass, I can see Belgrade pursuing similar strategies for the 6 Serb municipalities in Kosovo.

Even if they live in Vojvodina they still will pay taxes to Serbia. There are taxes that are mandatory for all Serbian citizens no matter in what part of the country they live.
I must dissapoint fellows from Kosovo that even 75% of total population of Vojvodina autonomous province are Serbs and believe me they don't want any indenpendence( I used to live there and I know) let alone "freedom". By the way freedom from what or from who? From Serbs? Serbs are majority in Vojvodina just like accross Danube and Sava.
Speeking of freedom Vojvodina is already liberated in 1918. from Austria-Hungary. So it's ridiculus talking about "liberation" except your being mean and enjoy in this. You're pretty obsessed with anything related to Serbia.
