Check out EUROPOL report 'European Organised Crime Threat Assessment (OCTA) 2009 (English, pdf format)' and you'll see who does and where is the business...

A big shame that a positive report on the battle against drugs has to end up a Serb vs Albanian, Albanian vs Serb slam match.
the drug problem encompasses all societies, to try to make one worse than the other does no one any good.

Lol, you got to "love" Serbs. This story has totally something to do with Albanians. Instead of congratulating MUP for its attempt to break one of the largest drug networks in the region, the Serbs find a way to blame the Albanians for this one as well.
(BalkanUpdate, 31 October 2009 15:55)

i never said the albanians are to blame for this - what i meant was that albanians should learn from it.

Great job and congratulation to the Min of Interior, this is really amazing. I wished our police would be so efficient and clean our streets from all these criminals, drug dealers that are still "refugees" form the balkan war!!
To the Toni, aRta and other blind nationalists, pls do the same in your house, then maybe, but really maybe we'll have some respect for you!!

It's good to see the MUP is making great strides in dealing with this cancer of society (drug dealers, human traffickers, etc.), especially in the minority Albanian community,
-----
Especial those "Albanians" caught with 3 tons of cocaine last week.

Police found dozens of types of drugs, a large amount of weapons and ammunition, stolen cars, and USD 52,000 of counterfeit bills was found in the possession of one suspect in Belgrade

There you go.The most criminal country in whole balkan region.

I would not go that far, let's be politically correct.
Besides, regarding the percentage of the population being a high-rank mafiosi:
there, say, Ukrainians ( ex- CCCP citizens) living in Belgrade are a higher "risk factor" than Albanians or Serbs.

I almost wrote that "Ukrainian mafia is the most ruthless" - but I forgot, in Tijuana (on Mexican/USA border) you can find body parts cooked in acid on regular basis.

By the way: Mexico is on "white Schengen" list, despite Mexican mafia's habit of cooking in acid it's enemies.

It's good to see the MUP is making great strides in dealing with this cancer of society (drug dealers, human traffickers, etc.), especially in the minority Albanian community, where they are always complaining about human their rights, yet feel that it is their right to deal in crime. Good job MUP, good job Serbia.

2-3 arrests in that part of Serbia where Albanians live is no match to close to 600 arrest in Serbian parts of Serbia. Clean the dirt in your own backyard first and then and onle then talk about others.

"watch and learn Albanians".

If you didn't know why they didn't want to live with you, comments like the above should give you a hint.

Now there will be pressure on and in Croatia to do something similar as crime and corruption is stated as its main obstacle to joining the EU. Any chance of this happening in EU ms Bg&Ro? It's what they should have done before being allowed to join, but the right friends in the EU are more important tha fulfilling the acquis communautaire...
