This statue will be fun to bulldoze some day.
(Dragan, 29 October 2009 19:35)

Guys, let's be honest. If it is a genuine "made in K" product it will probably get rusty in a couple of years. In line with local quality standards :))

American tourists visiting this beautiful holiday resort called Kosovo? Funny! And what are you dreaming of at nighttime?

They should stop building statues already in Kosovo! They have more than enough as it is! In any case, Bill wasn't the one who did the most to rescue Kosovo from the claws of Serbia. Sure in the end he helped, but he had to be cajoled by Blair, Albright and Hillary. Those three were the true champions of Kosovo during 1999. Thaci needs to check his facts first and second stop building statues.

Nikos,

You needn't be so sensitive.

I think you are missing the whole point of Denis' remarks.
It is clear that were Greece to apply for EU membership today, she would stand no chance of being approved because of the many inadequacies of Greece's economic standards.

Amer

pre 14 godina

Bill Clinton was an imperfect man but an excellent president. Under him we had peace and enough prosperity to actually start paying down the national debt.

I'm glad he's coming to the ceremony - so often it appears that America slights its smaller allies, when it's simply a matter of there never being enough time for everything.

In the future, American tourists (who very likely will have only the foggiest idea of what the war was about - sorry) will be happy to see the statue of their president in a foreign country.

Denis
It is obvious that since you dont have a way to justify albanian damaging of serbian cultural heritage you turned to irrelevant accusations against my country.
now about what you said i can see that you are very jealous about the fact that my country is in EU and Albania/Kosovo is not.
Also you must acknowledge that states that are not in EU (like Albania)are in no position to dictate who deserves to be in Eu and who does not.
Since when having a terrorist group of 10 people prevent a country from being member of EU? Well Denis i have news for you, we have caught our terrorists, while some others (see Kosovo)instead of catching them make them presidents and ministers....
About what you said that we are not working and drinking coffee i must tell you that i am working everyday 9-7 and sometimes weekends so i dont really have enough time to drink coffee.
And Denis really if any of your countrymen does not like it here we dont keep anyone by force thay can leave anytime they want, but i dont see anyone wanna leave and return to Albania, can you tell me why that is?

Now with you comment about your ex president that was elected from you or the majority of American people just shows how much American you are. I think that's pathetic I thought you let other people have there own mind and Mr Clinton thought it was right to intervine in Kosovo to stop the ethnic cleansing and now you say all those things about Mr. Clinton. Hhmmm

The place where the statue is put it's a bit messy but but give it some time man Kosovo declared it's independence just over a year and half, you can't make everything sparkling in such a short time.

The statue is incredibly ugly - it looks like the love child of Thachi and Clinton, to be honest. Furthermore, it is in a very ugly place in a very dirty, ugly city. The parking lot that the statue is in is littered with trash and surrounded by bleak, polluted buildings... what a place of honor for Slick Willy.

Your comment about bringing down statues of cultural heritage takes me back to Ottoman/Mongolian times. K-ALBS talking about EU integration makes me laugh..in 1200 years maybe
(Nikos, 30 October 2009 12:59)

Ohh God look who is talking? Did you enjoy your $250 billion that EU gave you so you can enter Europe although you were 100 years behind and still fighting each other? Are you aware that Greece has had active terrorist groups all the way till 4-5 years ago, yet somehow you were part of EU?

Are you aware that 18% of Greece's GDP is produced by Albanians living in there, while you drink coffee, Metaxa and belly dance in your Buzuqis, just like in Ottoman times?

Not everyone has had the luck to be as spoiled as Greece is/was where 90% of the infrastructure is paid for by EU money. So please don't preach anyone about integration and Europe, cause if there is one nation which has NO merit of its own to be in EU that is Greece.

Tony

Dear president Clinton
Thank you for all that you did for Kosova. I am grateful for the many bombs you sent Serbia's way. I wish you would have used even heavier bombs, so that peace could have finally come to the Balkans. Because you didn't go all out, the Serbs still keep destabilizing the region. But we love you nonetheless, for because of you, Serbia today is landlocked. God Bless you!

Peggy, are you trying to deny that this was indented and tried by Serbia in 1999?
How many Albanians were forced out during that time (and please do not give me your usual hymn that we left because of NATO Strikes)?
We know why we left and how (and by whom) were we forced to leave.
Luckily your bellowed forces (army, police and paramilitaries) were forced out and people returned.
And Peggy, there are not more of us than before the war since it takes a while (even with the high natality rates) to compensate for over 10000 dead in 1999.
But we will get there.

What I like about that photo of the Bill Clinton statue is that the area it's in looks like a ghetto. Oh, what a prosperous nation the almighty one has created.

I'm not sure if I should call Bill "almighty one", "the eternal leader" as some have suggested. Perhaps "Snowball" or "Napoleon" is more appropriate.

In all seriousness, if we lived in a fair and democratic world Bill Clinton would be behind bars for horrific war crimes against the Serbs in 1999.

Unfortunately in the real word justice does not prevail, and as we all know absolute power is corruptible. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others...

Since Albanians are proudly nominally atheist, Clinton is the closest thing to a god they have & he genuinely, decisively helped them.

Jason, you are wrong. It looks like ugly love child of Thaqi and Madeleine Allbright. Cigars are missing and Monica Levinsky.

Enough of the cleansing c**p.
There are more of you now there than before the war.
So, who got cleansed?
(Peggy, 30 October 2009 05:24)

Exactly, the Serbian state tried to cleanse ethnic Albanians from Kosovo; guess who stopped them?! The guy who is coming to visit us on Sunday!! That’s why the serbs hate him and that’s why we love him. Period!

Your comment about bringing down statues of cultural heritage takes me back to Ottoman/Mongolian times. K-ALBS talking about EU integration makes me laugh..in 1200 years maybe

@ Jason

Now with you comment about your ex president that was elected from you or the majority of American people just shows how much American you are. I think that's pathetic I thought you let other people have there own mind and Mr Clinton thought it was right to intervine in Kosovo to stop the ethnic cleansing and now you say all those things about Mr. Clinton. Hhmmm

The place where the statue is put it's a bit messy but but give it some time man Kosovo declared it's independence just over a year and half, you can't make everything sparkling in such a short time.

American tourists visiting this beautiful holiday resort called Kosovo? Funny! And what are you dreaming of at nighttime?

Bill Clinton was an imperfect man but an excellent president. Under him we had peace and enough prosperity to actually start paying down the national debt.

I'm glad he's coming to the ceremony - so often it appears that America slights its smaller allies, when it's simply a matter of there never being enough time for everything.

In the future, American tourists (who very likely will have only the foggiest idea of what the war was about - sorry) will be happy to see the statue of their president in a foreign country.

President Clinton is very much welcome in Kosovo. Kosovo has with Clinton a great basement for its legal and justified Independence(LJI).Kosovo have some strong and stable basements for it LJI.

Nikos,

You needn't be so sensitive.

I think you are missing the whole point of Denis' remarks.
It is clear that were Greece to apply for EU membership today, she would stand no chance of being approved because of the many inadequacies of Greece's economic standards.

This statue will be fun to bulldoze some day.
(Dragan, 29 October 2009 19:35)

Guys, let's be honest. If it is a genuine "made in K" product it will probably get rusty in a couple of years. In line with local quality standards :))
