Sociologist Janja Beč said "there is evidence all over Vojvodina" of "incredible proportions of destruction and plundering" of this province.

That is the talk of War my dear serbian idiots. Maybe you have forgotten the 90s, I certainly haven't. Next they'll be saying how we're raping Hungarian women around the clock.

And THAT'S when the bombs will drop

In Italy such a practice created the Norther League. In Belgium this, not the languge difference is spliting the country appart. But why go so far away? The practice of richer regions poring money into poorer ones helped split Yugoslavia.

"We must fight for what we want. For that you must pay the price and I am ready to pay any price but blood," Čanak said."

Well after saying that, it might be a little harder to get committees from the European Parliament to argue for a further splitting up of Serbia. He talks the talk, because he can't walk the walk.

Canak makes it sound like it's us against them.

It's all the same country isn't it? If everyone cooperates the country will prosper, if some take the attitude of us against them, the country will fail.

So Mr. Canak, please stop with you rubbish. People in Vojvodina are happy aren't they? Do they want a separate country?

By making waves like this, the country will go backwards and that in the end will be bad for them too.
So either ask for secession or shut up.

Alain good point. now they're just flexing muscles though. Showing tadic what they can do if he doesnt cooperate in other places and so on. alas.. as always in history.. our oppresors our invaders underestimate us. Which in this game is actually good for us.
and the ranting people described in the article..they should be arrested for incitement and spread of false information. Just my opinion.

The 75% claim has already been discussed. The refugees, numbering some 300,000+ in Vojvodina were excluded from the census.

Furthermore. Certain minorities like self-declared Montenegrins and Yugoslavs aren't inclined to support autonomy (they mkae an additional 5% of the populace).

But you know I don't expect Albanains to remembwer this. Especially since it's beens tated many times already and they colelctively ignore it.

Those Canak expect to be taken seriously. DOS, in their desperation to get all insignificant parties to join the coalition to topple Slobo (so that votes wouldn't be wasted) gave huge concessions.

Canak and autonomist (some cases bordelrine secessionists) held nearly 505 of the seats in Vojvodina. And he was the highest official in the land.

He had time to cause seriosus troubles if his demands were not met and to advocate his agenda and claimsd of theft form Vojvodina.

In the end his administration was filled with corruption, he condemned thwe autonomy given and contineud his talk.

Well the parties talking of stuff like "esssentialy autonomy" have enver obtained more then 10% of the vote since then.

I tihnk it's clear what the people of Vojvodina think of Canak. [Especially since minorities are not inclined to support him given that he tends to berate them for not following his agenda].

So, Vojvodina is being robbed by centralists in Belgrade. If Belgrade won't rob you Canak certainly will. Vojvodina is a prosperous and wealthy region. It wouldn't be if it was being ripped off.
When you can't blame Milosevic anymore this is the second best excuse! Well you have to do better than that. All Serbian citizens should be equal, regardless where in Serbia they live. If the rich North has to give money to the poorer South then so be it.

ask the 75% Serbs that live in vojvodina wants and why do you want this so bad so you could steal money from the people that live in the Serbian province, that's why your saying. Belgrade is stealing because you want to fill your pockets. vojovodina is over 75% Serbs because other peoples are moving out in numbers because they all see your lies. its not Belgrade that's the problem its your pockets. so ask the people what they want not what you politions want!!!
