hold hands with both sides--you are hugely mistaken.

It will be interesting to see where you are 10 years from now.

Would appreciate to have an english translation, so much hate and emotion in your post makes it hardly readable!!

@ Roberto

Don't tell us that you don't know where Mladic is, thought you had the ultimate knowledge...

By the way, every one who has a sense of justice wants these criminals to be tried and accounted for what they did.
Unfortunately the Tribunal has been showing his weakness and disorganization all along and hardly can hide how politized it is.

"...the tribunal has to abide scrupulously by the law..."

Which laws are these? I understand that Karadzic has also been charged with criminal activity in addition to the so called genocide and other charges. This Tribunal covers all jurisdictions – I wounder why the US/EU do not have a single court system as this is so successful?

I always remember one of the earliest trials relating to a Serb charged with murder, mistreatment of prisoners etc. Within a short time the defence disclosed that the prosecution’s main only eye witness was paid by the Bosniak Government to testify against the man. In fact, the so called witness was not even near the location of where these alleged crimes occurred.

Then when it seemed that the case would collapse, the Tribunal/prosecutor put forward two female witnesses, who never saw the alleged perpetrator commit the crimes, but accepted their testimony despite the fact they were only relaying a story which they heard third or fourth hand.

He got 15 years. Justice eh!

I will not waste my time debating your statement because clearly you do not have the faintest idea of what you’re talking about. However, here is prediction, in 10 years time Serbia will go from strength to strength while the former republics of Yugo and people like you will scavenge in garbage tips for a living because if you are waiting for the EU or US to help then you are living in fantasyland.

"...the tribunal has to abide scrupulously by the law..."

You clearly haven't followed any of the cases over the last few years. The ICTY definition of 'law' and which law ('humanitarian law in particular') is still quite flexible and on a number of occasions have judged themselves competent to make changes in law rulings that they neither have the authority nor competence to do.

That is why the International Criminal Court bears little resemblance to the ICTY. A major power might stand a chance at the ICC if it ever got that far, but would have absolutely none in front of the the ICTY if they were not the ones who had already bought and paid for it. That is why it is closing.

The ICTY is the quintessential definition of 'institutionally racist'.

To CHARLI, who took upon himself a task of representing the very world being tired of Serbia, Serbs, Serbia internal affairs, foreign policy, parks, homeless dogs, cats, unneutered pigeons, and anything Serbian.
A simple solution for your well-being: don't read Serbian newspapers, don't come to Serbian webs, don't listen to Serbian news, close your eyes, put in the earplugs, and go to sleep. Your choice of place, we couldn't care less.
Amen.

Karadzic will give them another slap. The Tribunal is to become a subject of jokes and anecdotes. Though sad ones. I guess it won't scare the Serbs. It won't prove them that the winners may be just and merciful. It will only bring a fence between them and the bombers.

The Karadzic trial has already become a circus, but that's to be expected, given the nature of the defendant. it is not the fault of the Hague tribunal (or "NATO"); the tribunal has to abide scrupulously by the law, and so they have, even as it has given way more leeway to some of the defendants than we would like.

my only stipulation: do not allow him to persecute the witnesses! not again! 4 years of hell is more than enough, thank you.

if there is any justice in this world, he will NEVER see the light of day, outside of a prison cell, again. period.

personally i would be pleased to be there, in the courtroom, for the verdict.

meanwhile, where's mr. mladic? sitten pretty??

ciao!

Because I know, you know and he knows there really is no real court room to face.

It's a good thing Russia has finally come to that realisation and is going to close it in just over a year.

Karadzic is a joke. Milosevic was a joke. Actually, to call them a 'joke' is to completely disregard what heinous criminals they were. Serbia--most everybody is so tired of your antics. Karadzic, Gay Pride vigil ante murderers, Mladic on the loose, and Djindjic assassins represent you on the world stage. For those of you that this does not represent, truly sorry.

Is it true the your National Bank Governor is in Chicago while the IMF visits? If you don't want the loan--fine, say so. Don't waste anyone's time. That is what Serbia is becoming.

At this point, how could anyone really want you to be part of the EU? Don't want that either? Fine by me.

Have the Chinese build a bridge on Chinese money and interest. Sell arms to the Chinese and Iraq. Take the Russian loan at high rates. As usual, your 'innat' is just plain stupid. If Russia and China sound like good government models and allies for you--go for it. Seriously. Make a decision and stick with it. But if you think you can hold hands with both sides--you are hugely mistaken.

It will be interesting to see where you are 10 years from now.

Why would a coward want to defend himself in court instead of getting a cushy lawyer to do all the work. Karadzic just wants time to prepare his defence... And no this doesn't mean intimidating judges and making witnesses 'dissapear'.
