Electricity was cut because the free loaders not only refused to pay after 10 years, but also overloaded the system with heating systems. Electricity costs KEK money and everyone is paying for it.

The line for Serbia, even if allowed to stand, cannot provide much electricity.
(aRTA, 21 October 2009 10:23)

aRTA maybe you should take cours in power distribution as long as someone does not blow up the lines there will be power and not only do Serbs live in Northern Kosovo there are albanians as well do you not think they will not sell out insurgents who try and take down the lines? LOL what else will be posted concerning this issue.

Oh boy: In 30 years, Kosova, FYROM and Crna Gora got $10.5 Billion in loans and grants, almost all from Croats and Slovenes. 10 Billion divided by 3, divided by 30 years! How much electricity, coal, minerals did they get from Kosova in return to produce their exportable stuff?

P.S. Kosova is paying the debt

Serbia accomplished what the EU/America are unable to accomplish after 10 years in the province..

"I'll like to see just how much free electricity Belgrade is willing to offer our fellow citizens in north. The reason why KEK cut the lines were not only unpaid bills but mismanagement of electricity. (Pejoni)"

-- You obviously did not read the article. It has little to do with people refusing to pay bills. It has everything to do with refusing to pay KEK. Bills will be paid to EPS, not KEK. Serbs in Gracanica spent two to three times as much money on power generators rather than pay KEK. The money's there. They just don't want you to have it.

"Anyhow, happy to see that KEK restored the power to n. Kosovo. (Olf)"

-- Really? KEK? Where'd you get that information from? The article says Belgrade, not KEK.

Of course it's a cheap stunt by Pristina to wedge themselves north across the Ibar. I'm happy the K-Serbs gave a big, loud, "Ne, hvala" to them. If KEK has problems collecting money for unpaid bills, I suggest they send a nice letter to Thaci and other self-proclaimed potentates and ask them to cough up the cash in unpaid bills too.

There can never be an excuse to turn the power off for a hospital. To albanians, getting paid is more important than saving a life. We were lucky no one died in the hospital during the blackout. Then again I don't expect albanians to be very compassionate. If they can sell drugs and indirectly cause deaths that way it's not surprising they use these kind of measures to intimidate and threaten others.

Pseudo-K_Albanian government behave like school children when it comes to politics. Everything is for show, for the consumption of their own Albanian citizenry. To make them look like they are in command. What a joke. They have zero authority in Kosovo i Metohija. The UN and EULEX are in charge in the Albanian inhabited areas. As far as the power shut off to hospitals, this should should be brought up to the Security Council, and move with legal proceedings against this Albanian mafia in Pristina.

K-Serbs don't need free electricity from KEK. They NEED TO PAY - but not to company of illegal, false state (KEK). K-Serbs would to pay for electricity to EPS.

No civilised people would cut off the power to entire hospitals - only those who value the dollar above the needs of society's most vulnerable - the sick, the young & the new-born.

By your comments, you & others like you who have made similar comments are displaying a basic lack of humanity.

From the above article, it seems that 'pristina' is now having second thoughts about this barbaric policy of cutting the power to entire regions (at least in this instance) & are attempting to distance themselves from the fall-out.

Electricity was cut because the free loaders not only refused to pay after 10 years, but also overloaded the system with heating systems. Electricity costs KEK money and everyone is paying for it.

The line for Serbia, even if allowed to stand, cannot provide much electricity.
