Đelić: Membership application possible in 2009

Well I am reading Dutch news and watching Euronews and message here is purely different.

Serbia is put in the last group being expected to join EU together with Bosnia and Kosovo, pathetically enough even after Albania and Montenegro.

Though Serbian politicians and Press always mention that EU is “Kosovo status neutral”, with this simple news, it is clear that in the practice EU acts entirely different and that it bounds Serbia's EU membership with final Kosovo status and surely with annulations of Republika Srpska.
Clearly political blackmail is just about to begin and our membership in EU won’t happen before 2020, if ever.

Best what Serbia should aim concerning EU and what should be added as our basic national interest is to establish free economical zone with EU (like Switzerland or Norway) and probably forget about political union at all.
Better then that it can't be otherwise Serbia would be asked to ignore and abbanden all its essential national political goals and interests for political union with EU where we will be finally knocked down as an independent nation. No thanks.

Still we would need to see, in that context, our politicians stop bullying us with EU accession years like 2009, 2014 and so on.
World does not stop and end up with EU membership and as less we insist on it as more EU will want to see us in. Till then, what about developing our society and economy and surely strategically improving our contacts with the rest of the World … Russia, China and Non–Aligned.
For Serbia …”The EU, without real powerful decision making Serbia-friendly EU nations, is strategically surely not enough”.

Germany finally had it´s way with their disintegration of Yugoslavia & got Kosovo ripped off serbia. But, as thorough as germans are, they want of cource finish the job, bringing Serbia into the Deutches bundesbank, sorry, €USSR, Germans can rest. Serbs finally subdued into submission end of mission.

Sorry, but where do you see UNMIK governing Kosova?
UNMIK is only on paper. Reality check is need it for Serb govermant.

Your "freedom" is pathetic. It's like saying to someone "you are free to not work if you want it" and expect him to starve.

Mr.Van der Serbia is quite right in his remarks..here in Italy the EC report has been seen as a problematic answer to a problematic part of Europe..
Now at least the situation is quite clear ..Croatia has been welcomed but has now lost almost 3 years and probably will enter in 2012-2013..
Makedonia has won the lottery for the next ticket but they will have to wait for at least 4-5 years...
The others i think will be out for the next generation..there is no will for a full membership...
Eu people are fed up with the enlargement and politicians are now assuming the same stance..

The Serbian government needs to arrest and extradite Mladic before it is allowed to get closer to the EU. The Serbian institutions know where he is and now is the time to pressure them into finally arresting and extraditing him so that justice can be served.
